I dig Solas, he's like Spock, in elven form. He's not interested in my Qunari lesbian rogue though, nor is she in him. I like it when he busts out the complicated elven speech though, like during the Fade? Nice.
I'm not the only one who thinks the Elvish is kinda hot, r-right?
Omg omg omg you guys! Leesybee on tumblr just made this discovery and my mind exploded!

*takes deep breath* Aaaahhhh!
I was wondering why his personal quest was phrased like that.

I romanced Dorian on my first playthrough, and after the ending, I had to immediately start another to romance Solas. You catch a lot of little hints and foreshadowing. My mind was blown like every other plot point.

Can I get me a game fully voiced in elvish with english subtitles? Please?

Edit: I guess this could be spoilerish. So beware.
So what is everyone's fantasy of what they want to happen to Solas and Lavellan in future dlc/expansion?
Edit: Also, wow. That anagram. That is straight up trolling. Well played.

I'd take that over nothing. But honestly, I'd like to see something more unique- something that doesn't quite resemble the Witch Hunt dlc. Weekes wrote some amazing stuff...I'm betting we will get an expansion longer like Awakening, but this time with the ability to see a resolution to his mission...and the romance.
This is similar to my feelings on the matter. Weekes shows the potential to blow the Witch Hunt DLC out of the water if done right.
I know what I don't want. I don't want some complicated love triangle or some plot where the inquisitor has to save Solas from Flemeth. I don't want Solas to have some tragic redeemed death. It doesn't necessarily have to be a happy ending; I just want to avoid cliches and overly complicated "multiple people in one body" plots that I feel would spoil things for romantic inquisitors. That was worded poorly, but basically:
Given that there is a slot on Dragon Keep, I'm not too worried.
I don't want him to become the big bad either.
Edit: I guess this could be spoilerish. So beware.

I want my Lavellan to find him through through well magic. Rage at him for just disappearing. Then she is offered the choice to follow him in a morally ambiguous path, leave him be, or fight him.
The things I think would be cool would be possible pregnancy subplots (99% sure it won't happen, but I think it could be made interesting, even though it is a bit of a cliche). I would want my inquisitor to be the one who finds Solas not the other way around. When I imagine it, I always imagine them both ending up on quests that cause their paths to cross, and this forces confrontation. I'd like that. I definitely want Solas to own up for hurting the Inquisitor or at least become aware of the damage he has done and repair it.
It's hard to say because most of this comes from a romantic point of view and many of the things that I personally think wold be awesome for my inquisitor, wouldn't work if you beat the game as a male or weren't interested in Solas romantically. It'd make me insanely happy if they had two different plots/beginnings based on whether you romanced him or not (with a similar end point, naturally), but that's asking for a lot.

Agreed on both counts. Playthrough #1: totally missed all the hints. Playthrough #2: wondering how Lavellan missed ALL THE HINTS!?
Re Elvish: super hot. Would pay for all-elven dialogue option for Lavellan and Solas in future DLC.

No, you definitely aren't.
I have a huge weakness for fictional languages for some reason, and elven is a very pretty language.
Unrelated: It's been a while since the comments were posted about this, but I'd like to request that people not casually drop references to making their Inquisitor "commit suicide" in their posts, please.
(Just me explaining why I've got a problem with it, feel free to ignore.)
edit: Of course the first time I mess up spoiler tags is when I'm typing something like that. Sorry about that... @_@

I really wish we could have had more elven talk back and forth between Solas and an elf Inquisitor. It would have been neat to just naturally slip into it when commenting on something. Especially the last romance scene. I know some responses have you yelling at him in elven, but I'd just have loved it if the "I love you" line was delivered likewise. Ah, well...

I had a great big hunch about it partway through the game. I don't necessarily believe my Lavellan would have thought that exact same thing, but she certainly should have picked up on something at some point. Any elf Inquisitor should have, really. They clearly couldn't give up that little nugget in such a way in the middle of the game, but I still took the foreshadowing of "who are your people" to indicate that my Lavellan knew something was up.
Not that she would have gone and accused him of being

To be honest, I just wish Lavellan gets a chance to understand she got to know a god. Actually KNOW him.
Even if the whole thing was just a mistake in a bigger plan that she could never have a part in. It could be THEIR mistake. She could cherish it once the hurt recesses. If only she could make sense of it.
So far its only the player who gets the big picture. Thats what hurting me most.

If there isn't a riding the wolf cutscene, then what even is the point of a dlc? ![]()

Spoileror something. The idea would have been ridiculous to her, but still... especially with the demon in the Fade. How the F did an elf not turn to him and be all, "lolwut?"![]()
What exactly did nightmare say to him in the fade and how did he respond? My Elvish is bad

There was a codex entry posted earlier that implies she knows he's something different, it apparently shows up post-game. So she's not completely in the dark, at least.

Do you have it? I deleted my endgame save by accident.
I still feel like there's a huge gap between what the player knows and what the PC knows. That's not entirely unusual, except in this case it has to deal with things that are happening in the present game (i.e. I know about the Warden and the inquisitor doesn't, but that does not affect the game right now). I can't think of very many games that allow that sort of knowledge gap to persist for very long because it's a bit frustrating for the player...Hopefully in any DLC Lavellan will be caught up quickly.

In that case i hope there would be a 'whatever you are to others, thats not what you were to me' option.

Some had a rough translation. To the effect of: So, Dread Wolf, are you happy I'm not telling them?
The Dalish don't seem to have a full grasp of their language, though.

And I'm wondering if Solas doesn't always develop a thing for Lavellan? I mean, assuming they get along alright and his approval isn't crap. When Sera asks if he fancies Lavellan, he doesn't deny it, just evades the question (WHICH HE IS VERY GOOD AT JFC).
If she's romancing Sera, he probably assumes the Inquisitor is either not into men... or at least not into him, specifically.

About the middle of the page is where it's addressed, I think.
