I just redid What Pride Had Wrought and found something I hadn't seen around-

Drank from the well this time because I noticed the ancient elven writing you can discover with Veilfire. I'm not sure if these have been posted before or if I'm missing any, but if you drink from the Well the codex entries that otherwise said the writing is untranslateable change. Doesn't seem like any of these are about Solas in particular, but they do kinda reflect on the stories he tells. I wish I hadn't completed the shards quest now because I can't find what was written on the tablet in the main room in my codex, but maybe it also says something different depending on whether Solas is still with you or you have drunk from the Well.

Level 16 and still can't find the last spell book. I have everything I need to become a KE but I really want Lavellen to be a Rift Mage.

 

I still find Skyhold's pjs depressingly bland but then there's scenes like this and they look like a matching set and I just

So I just watched the whole Cullen romance on YT so I can romance Solas again..

 

I DID THE SAME THING TODAY. I wanted to see Cullen's romance but I cannot imagine going through an entire play-through without romancing Solas.

And I am one of those people who desperately wanted to romance Cullen both in Origins and Dragon Age II. 

Solas ruined me.

I just finished Coles Personal Quest and something kind of caught my eye.

Solas is telling them, that even if you wish it so badly you can't change what you are.  / First-hand experience?

4:48 We cannot change our nature by wishing. And Varric just asks him "You don't think?"

I don't know if it is a bug, but he is starring at Lavellan while Varric tells him, that Cole can't be binded anymore. And he just *still starring at Lavellan* says, he hopes Varric is right.

So could the one about the pillars be talking about the "Worn Pillars" in the Forbidden Oasis. I have a codex entry under History (#35) talking about worn pillars that "look sort of elfy"?

 

 

And that last one is so sad...I'm sorry Abelas come join my new clan! I wish Lavellan could just be like, "Hey Skyhold is the sovereign territory of the Dalish now mmk?" I'd gather up all the elves and we'd start our own new civilization...I'm not sure how the rest of the Inquisition would feel about it.

 

Also, I'm reading the Masked Empire now and

it's eerie how closely Felassen's opinions on the elves mirror Solas'. Their temperaments seem different, but I'm really intrigued to see where this goes and how it might relate to Solas

 

Last topic, does anyone know where codex entries for landmarks go? I came across a landmark for Falon'Din talking about owls. Considering how there are owls all over Skyhold, I thought if I could read it again I might get some hint of...something. The owls look similar to the one at the landmark too...

That answer is one of the reason Im thinking of going with human Cole. Just to show Solas that people can change and be happy (Vole is happy either way but that jsut cause hes awsome).

Yes, this dialogue stood out to me as well, and it's why I'm planning to make Cole more human this time. Solas just seemed so certain that people can't (and shouldn't?) change, and I want to prove him wrong.

And I did the exact difference- I started my solas playthrough and I don't think I can finish right now. Too fragile. So I'm starting back over with Cullen because he's sweet and safe.

 

Also, don't ever youtube "Breaking Up With Cullen".  It's basically the most horrible thing.

The conversation of "da'len" happens when you ask him about his thoughts on elven culture. He responds to the nature of: I thought you'd be more interested in telling me your thoughts on elven culture.

 

Picking the first option, you apologize and call him "hahren". And in response, he apologizes as well and calls you "da'len." I have it recorded, if you'll give me a few minutes, I can get an exact transcript.

The hardest thing I've had to do so far is not recruit Cole. That scene, where he comes to help you can you can call him a demon and try to kill him. Oh god, the feels.

To answer your questions:

He'll call you Da'len in Haven if you pick the "We are trying. Accept it." dialogue option when you ask him about Elven culture (and you argue about the Dalish).  You say "Ar abelas, Hahren", to which he responds, "Ar abelas, Da'len."

 

The "fade-tongue" comment is after your first kiss.  He'll apologize for the kiss saying he shouldn't have encouraged it, and if you pick "but you still did anyway" it goes like this (paraphrased):

Lavellan: You say that now, but you're the first one who used tongue.

Solas: I did no such thing!

Lavellan: Oh, does it not count if it's fade-tongue?

Props to you for going through with a playthrough like that. I can never do it. I just youtube those types of scenes.
