Does anyone else here have a habit of jumping from where Leliana is to Solas' room? That's basically how I get to his room most of the time and it always amuses me that he doesn't notice.

I often jumped right onto the table while Solas was studying at it.  Yes, it amused me terribly that he never reacted.  Probably thinking he'd have to heal Uth'Shiral's legs sooner or later if she kept doing that--she was sure to break them sooner or later.

hahaha, I always imagine my Inquisitor attempting to ignore the turned angkles/broken bones and cocking a hip, then placing a hand on it and being all "so, Solas, how you doin'?".

Wow, Mihris is really rude to Solas. She called him a flat-ear and insinuated that he wouldn't be able to move the rocks in front of the artifact cave thing in the Hinterlands. :| She wasn't rude to him last time I did this quest... I guess that's because my Lavellan was a mage last time, and this time I've got a rogue (so Solas is the only mage in the party)? If she's so superior just because she's got tattoos all over her face, she could've lifted up the rocks on her own...

We talk a lot about Solas' animations and voice acting, but I think part of what makes the scenes so appealing is the default female voice and lavellan's animations.

I especially like how when she flirts with him, she would put her hands behind her back and get into his personal space searching for a kiss. Lol And then in that final scene her expression when he pulled away from her after the kiss was so heart breaking. And the way she she told him that she loved him and to not leave her was really full of emotion and a bit of desperation. Just well-done overall.

Wow, Mihris is really rude to Solas. I guess that's because my Lavellan was a mage last time, and this time I've got a rogue (so Solas is the only mage in the party)? My mage got the same dialogue.. something like "You think you can manage that, flat ear?" I wish we could have said something to her.

I've also noticed that his eyebrows seem to be reddish.  I'm thinking Solas would be a redhead, if he had hair.  Yes, I know his concept art mostly showed black hair, or blonde in one case.  But they must have settled on red at some point, because of his eyebrows...

I imagine it would be a bit of a rare pairing, but I would love to hear the voice acting

I'm actually not disappointed there was no sex scene.  And I expected it wouldn't end well, because I started early on to suspect who he was.  It makes sense that they never did have sex, all things considered.  But a sweet scene of Solas sharing some of his tremendous knowledge?  Would have loved that.  Not a big fan of the teacher/student romance though.  Although, to be fair... Solas kind of outranks the Inquisitor anyway.

ahahahaha omg ahhhhhhh~~~~~ XD  Okay, Professor Solas is really something special.  I wish we could've had our mage Lavellan ask to learn from him and use it as an excuse to play on that hahren/da'len action ahhh  I loved listening to Solas' stories about the Fade.  I was sad when he ran out of stories lol

Oh totally, would have loved more Solas dialogue with him sharing what he knows and being wise beyond his years (except not) but I suspect showing TOO much knowledge would have made him more suspicious seeming.

Solas: Er, the fade. Yes, my travels in the fade.

Inquisitor: Really? All that from the fade? You would think-

Solas: DEFINITELY the fade.

Inquisitor: But-

 

Solas disapproves.

 

And yeah, I know teacher/student isn't everyone's thing but it is alive and well in my elaborate headcanon hahaha.

Something I was thinking of earlier... I'm much sadder for my Inquisitor, who put so much trust and love into Solas (who, according to in-game dialogue, was also somehow her first love).  But, does anyone else here think we should be sad for Solas?

I wonder if he would have explained things if he'd gotten the orb--perhaps he would have then had some means to share immortality with Lavellan.  But even if he had, he had to be thinking that Lavellan would never, ever accept him as Fen'Harel.  And considering what he said at the ball, he's clearly not asexual.  All that time spent yearning, wanting... and knowing if he did, he'd be making it even harder to leave when the time came.  The time was going to come, sooner or later.  He would have to leave, and, well, Uth'Shiral is mortal.  It wouldn't be easy to watch her grow older by the day if he couldn't do anything about it.

 

I still feel sorrier for Lavellan, because Solas promised to explain and he didn't.  He led her on, when he could have simply said "No," from the beginning.  He didn't even leave a note for her wishing her goodbye.

 

But, for those who've also seen the ending cut, I wonder what will happen now that Mythal/Flemeth is part of Solas/Fen'Harel?  Not to mention the Old God Urthemiel.  Some think he's up to no good, but he said he was off to help the people and I am inclined to believe that's his actual intent, given his actions throughout the game and the fact that he seemed to like it when you helped people (elves specifically).  And yet he seemed so miserable over the orb.  What's its significance?  Also, he really didn't want you to use the Well, but if you did... well if Flemeth is a part of him, the Inquisitor is now bound to him in that respect as well.

 

Something else that I've been wondering that I think might be somehow related to Solas:  Solas/Fen'Harel was apparently asleep/wandering the Fade until the beginning of Inquisition.  Was he Felassan's master?  Corypheus was not searching for the eluvians at that time.  If so, then why did Solas need the eluvians and why did he murder Felassan when it would have also suited his purposes to have Briala take control of the eluvians?  My theory is that it wasn't Solas or Corypheus, but whoever it is, is the reason that Fen'Harel, Mythal, and Urthemiel are teaming up.

 

I'm also deeply concerned about that orb, because both Solas and Flemeth seemed to think it was a terrible thing to lose.  What was it meant to do?

 

I would love to see the Inquisitor able to tie up loose ends with Solas, would like even more for him to permanently return to my party.  But I can't foresee any further romance content, unless Solas decides suddenly that he needs an Old God Baby or something.
