What is this after credit cole-solas conversation I keep hearing about?
I believe that after the credits are done... and you can continue playing the game... this occurs the next time you go to talk to Cole.
So wait. You don't get to have woo breaks with Solas like you do with Cullen?
Nope.
Patrick Weekes tweeted that this was done on purpose to leave it up to each player whether or not they did the horizontal mambo.
Nothing is explicitly shown. Some dialogue choices can make it sound like they have, but is left ambiguous purposefully.

It is interesting that it's after this scene that the romance achievement unlocks. Seriously, what is up with that Bioware? Locking the choice in at the very moment you become available to make any other choice.
Wouldn't it have been more appropriate to get the achievement after he starts calling Lavellan his heart?

Oh, no. I don't mean have sex. I mean when you romance Cullen, you can go visit him and ask him for a kiss, whenever you want after the romance is established. You ask him for a kiss, he says give me a moment to get away, and there's a cute little scene of them kissing out on the battlements outside his office. Then he goes back in to work. But you get to do it whenever you want, so the romance doesn't feel so empty.
Solas doesn't have that?

I like that they left it ambiguous how physical the relationship was. For some reason I think a straightforward sex scene would have taken something away...I don't know, I got a very Chow Yun-Fat/Michelle Yeoh vibe from Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.
Which is why...
Anyway I knew going in it was probably going to end the way it did...actually I was expecting worse so I hope the writers will surprise us and we'll get to see more.

This was incredibly disappointing to me. The scenes are beautiful and meaningful, but without any other scenes in between (slice of life type stuff, like nearly everyone else gets) it feels as though the game uses a few scenes to tell us they're together and then make us sad in the end. Even his normal, every-day dialogue is lacking compared to others.
Because of the reasons stated above, we better get lots of content with him in the DLC.
I know what you mean... I love the scenes we have and I'm glad he's an option
But it seems kinda weird if you think about it ![]()
Like, they just make out three times and that's it
Just one more in between scene would have already done some magic I think, the two of them doing something "normal" just being together

I want to draw them having a private tender moment now but I'm terrible at backgrounds. ;_; Maybe I'll write it instead.

Okay, so Solas dislikes me ATM. He doesn't completely hate me, but our relationship is somewhat icy.
But our relationship is not so bad
Storywise, I am at the Ball at the Winter Palace. Will I ever get his personal quest? He's the only character that will not speak to me beyond a few words. Even Sera gave me a quest despite us not being on great terms.

I don't know, with their romance it seems to fit better that you think of them having quiet and intensely private moments - physical, emotional, whatever - with each other rather than casual make-out romps whenever. Maybe others felt different, but to me they didn't need to show more to indicate what was there. The passion of the kisses we did see, and the look on his face during those times said plenty.
And is it just me, or is the part where he rests his hand on Lavellan's back during the ball scene right before they danced one of the most touching things for being so simple? When I came to that scene I chose the stoic option, and seeing that after the weary "it was a long day" comment was just perfect. Sort of a comforting "I'm here for you" kind of thing. It's my own personal reading into it, sure, but I really liked that simple expression of feeling.

(Spoiler) Yeah, so I went and replayed the Well scene and in my game, he does not seem to approve of the idea of Morrigan drinking considering he refers to her as, and I quote, "a glutton drooling at a feast". That said, he also voices his support of taking the well's power which kind of narrows it down. Considering the only ones beside me was Cole and Cassandra and Cole had his remark, I guess Solas really wanted to throw Cassandra under the bus.

I don't know if these've been posted, but I found these videos on tumblr and thought they added some insight to his feelings on elves, and perspective that I found I didn't really get in my playthrough. For all his criticism, he does care about their sad state. It's also interesting (imo) to note that he says he "sees no way" to help, but that seems to change by the time that last scene comes around.

I can't get Blackwall's or Vivienne's, but as far as Solas goes, I do think it's dependent on approval. A friend of mine didn't get his quest until he set out to raise his approval.Okay, so Solas dislikes me ATM. He doesn't completely hate me, but our relationship is somewhat icy.

I think it's his emphasis on freedom. He won't bind another to a responsibility that's so heavy, and his alone.I'm wondering why, after Solas leaves, [spoiler]in the telepathical conversation he has with Cole, he tells him that he must now walk this path in solitude forever. Why does Solas feel he has to do whatever he has to do absolutely by himself? Is it his pride or does he actually have no choice?

There's a cutscene with Cullen in which you play a board game with him and get to know him--no kissing involved. Something like with Solas would have been A+.
That part was pretty touching.

I know what you mean, I don't even mind that there isn't an option to just go to him and kiss like the other romances have because it wouldn't fit Solas
I'm not really talking about passionate moments, for example I would have liked to see him read something to her, just a quiet moment between them
He says that he enjoys talking with her, so that would have been nice and fitting
Those little moments are really nice, it's sad there aren't more of them
Sure, you can't be all over each other just because you're in love but sometimes it would be nice if the LI paid a little more attention

Hmmm... then I may never get Solas's quest. At least not on my first playthrough.
I haven't gotten Blackwall or Vivienne's quests either, and they both really like my Inquisitor.

The way the scene up to the kiss goes and the kiss, shows him lowering her to the floor. It was obvious he had pervie intentions...
but then

Ooohhh yeah. He's going to take her on the grass.

And that leads to this question about Solas lying by omission and his real disposition towards the Inquisitor...
Spoiler
That is a pretty questionable choice for him. I wonder if at that point the Inquisitor and the Inquisition were becoming less important to him. It seems like the Temple of Mythal is where he comes to the serious conclusion that he needs to do more than he has and his plans are unquestionably the most important thing to him. He may also have been... emotionally compromised? All the reminders of what was must have been killing him.
Okay, so Solas dislikes me ATM. He doesn't completely hate me, but our relationship is somewhat icy.

Try finding some of the elven artifacts for him? I'm positive his quest is approval linked and thiiink that the artifacts are his approval grind.

I'd have been happier if there was a single scene where he wasn't reluctant and/or sad. Just something to prove that he'd been really, truly happy in the relationship at some point. Although given the state he was in, I'm beginning to doubt that he could have been truly happy even for a few minutes.
I'm wondering why, after Solas leaves,
Spoiler
We don't know. He may feel that it's entirely his responsibility or that no one could help or it could be something like no one else having the power and/or knowledge to do it.
