So for those of you that play Pokémon and Dragon Age...anyone have a particular Solas pokemon? I'm naming all mine after DA characters (because why not) and trying to decide which one should be our favorite apostate.

I woke up thinking about this crazy possible DLC theory and I had to write it down before it left my brains. I apologize if someone's already thought of this...I've kept up with the past 1000 pages or so but that leaves so much that might have already been mentioned.

 

So I just finished Here Lies the Abyss and had an interesting convo with Morrigan; both of which helped me to come up with this theory. I guess I'll just put it all in a spoiler to be safe?

What if the place where Solas is headed after the end of the game is the Black City?  What if that is the place where the elvhen gods have been imprisoned? In Here Lies the Abyss, if you take Solas with you he's all enthusiastically gushing about the Fade in general, and then he squees and goes "There's the Black City, it's almost close enough to touch." The excitement in his voice is pretty hard to miss. Then, later, after I finished Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts, I spoke with Morrigan and I asked her why she thought Corypheus considered me to be a rival. She then said, "Well, it depends...if you could go to the Black City, would you?" You have a lot of options to respond from "HELLLLS NAW" to "OOOOOH YEAH". I went the "OOOOOH YEAH" route, and Morrigan said, "Well, then there's your answer. You ARE his rival."

 

SOOO the Inquisitor has the anchor, which she can apparently use to open a door into the Fade that she can physically pass through at any time. It does not seem that she can open a door to get out of the Fade using the anchor (otherwise, in Here Lies the Abyss, she'd just open a door and pop right back out instead of traveling to the other rift). So she can open a one-way physical door into the Fade, which is what you'd need to do to get to the Black City. 

 

In my head, I'm thinking that a trip to the Black City, one where you meet Solas (either on the way or once you get there) and get some closure, would be the perfect size for some DLC. It's basically one location, it's not super expansive, and it's kind of a coherent story. I could easily see this being like, the last DLC released before DA4.  The inquisitor travels to the Black City, gets closure from Solas, and potentially either releases the elvhen gods or finds out what's really going on in the Black City; and all of that sets up Thedas for some crazy world-changing shizz for the next game. Personally, I think this would be AWESOMETASTIC.

 

So what do you guys think?

I love this scene,especially how his expression sure subtly changes when she's approaching him.

I'm stealing Cole = Ralts. And Loghain Lotad I am dying. Right now my two main pokemon are a shiny (don't know how I had that luck) Blaziken named "Hawke", and Taillow named "Zevran". Trying to get a baby Eevee in a Cherish Ball that I can make into "Dorian" Umbreon at the moment. I've started giving my Wonder Trade pokemon random NPC names, so if you ever get a Bhelen or Berwick from Nen then you know who gave it to you

Haha, there are a lot of elves I'm missing. I almost named a Zubat "Zathrian," but I accidentally killed it before I could catch it... I do have a Skitty named Sera, though! It has an "impish" personality, which I thought was fitting.

 

I'm going to name a Marill "Merrill" once I find one, though!

I have X and Alpha Sapphire. I was pretty hardcore about X for a while in trying to breed perfect pokemon but I'm much lazier about Sapphire. Can't wait until I can move my team over though, I have some nice pokemon on X.

 

My friend code is 3668-9228-5146 if anyone wants to be buddies! I have a few other popular games too (Smash Bros, Animal Crossing, Fire Emblem) if people aren't interested in pokemon.

I love the little gestures in this scene too. At first she tries to wrap her arms around him and he's all "no, no, no" and just envelops her in his broad-shouldered Solas arms *swoon*

Someone mentioned Absol for Solas. I was also thinking of maybe doing Espeon. Or Alakazam, but that's not really elegant enough. It's hard to think of pokemon that fit Solas and that I actually want to use...

 

I think Rayquaza will be Flemeth for me, and Shale will be geodude because golem >.>  I have a slakoth Oghren too.  Right now I'm making a spreadsheet so I can keep track of all the names @.@

I agree. As a romance even if he had less scenes and ended on a horrible sad cliffhanger he was still the best. The scenes just felt more...meaningful. He was more interesting as a character. His voice is also like bacon wrapped in heavan.
