These Remind me of Solas wolf form, or...how he would look.
And going off of that - all of the early, early christian art of Jesus is more reminiscent of depictions of Apollo - curly, golden haired, incredibly young. It took a couple hundred years for him to develop dark hair and a beard. Even that isn't consistent - sometimes he's portrayed as a dirty blonde or light brunette. All of which seem highly unlikely when you consider the traits of those of his geographical phenotype.
Hmm.. checks outish. My art history is vague but one of the earliest depictions is when jesus was just shepard. Young, clean shaved, curly brown.
I wonder about the immigration patterns at the time. People surrounding the Mediterranean.
It's possible that Mythal was a human woman and not elven. In The Masked Empire art of Shartan is allowed to exist only if his ears are altered to make him look human. And adapting relgious figures to fit your own culture exist in our world (look at all the art that depicts Jesus as white, for example).
I think Mythal has had a human form thanks to Flemeth and her daughters for so long that the Well's guardian changed from an elf to human. It's a hint towards the Flemeth/Mythal connection before we actually meet her.
So, humans, dwarves and Qunari get unique lines, and elves only get an unique one if they side with templars, otherwise they get the human one?
Human/elf (mages): You reach across, mindful, meaning. You pull it through to this side, make it real here.Elf (templars): Pulled, blood that is not blood, a tiny trace of time. Lips struggling to shape language your parents lived.Dwarf: The stone, still there, silent and reaching up for the blood that walks. No dreams with the cord cut. You sell it.Qunari: Old blood, deeper, passion pounding pulsing, unchecked. Raw rage, but only an option.
I sided with the mages, and I am pretty sure that I got the blood that is not blood statement. (Vallaslin, right? That's what he means?)
Oh **EDIT** - I am a mage

These are awesome!
Don't forget to source art though ![]()

And if that's true, they must have thrown those infected Titans somewhere no one could find them or reach them or where they couldn't infect the rest: THE VOID. Andruil goes off to hunt them - what does she bring back? Red Lyrium. And a blight without an archdemon. I do find it interesting however that Mythal finds it necessary to turn herself into a giant serpant to gain Andruil's attention however.. Doesn't that sound like darkspawn needing to search out an Old God Dragon?
The titan thing is... possible? Though I've been working under the assumption that she picked up the blight from its source- the Sun (blighted primordial dragon-god Maker thing) that Elgar'nan's keeping in there since the first Betrayal Triad.
I still don't understand titans and dwarves, mostly because I played DA:O and 2 a long, long time ago, and I wasn't really paying attention. They were "just games" then. Not horrible, sucking theorycrafting nightmare vortexes.
*miserable shrug* Blame Solas.
So for those who know: which one should I dump the next few days into, if I want solid background on all things suspiciously dwarvish?

Looks like it depends on your class ![]()
.
Fiona put the mages into indentured servitude out of desperation. She believed the templars were coming to kill them. It was a no-win situation, and she was responsible for all the lives under her leadership. She also had time magic working against her. Fiona clearly knows she's screwed up, I could only sympathize. My Lavellan just wanted to help get them out of that mess.
Eh, making a bad choice like that to save yourself is just bad. It's the old "if you give-up everything that makes you who you are to save yourself, have you really saved yourself" thing. She really should have turned down Tavinter (or at least stood up to them) and then focused on preparing for the Templars if she believed they were coming for them. She could have done so many other things. Hell she could have had people out trying to quell the fighting and helping the innocent people who got caught in the middle instead of turtling up. Which then could have helped her potentially find allies to help.
Seems like it depends on your class
Oh sorry, I edited it. My elfie is a mage. I'll have to go back tonight and see if I can find the conversation in my saves. Stupid 250 save limit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Boo. I just want them to get along! Maybe rule as a tribunal, I dunno. Celene's the best politician but the worst person ugh ugh.
I don't buy this. It seems like Mythal and Fen'Harel were gods with physical manifestations. Did Mythal just take on an elven shape? That seems silly. I don't think there's any reason to think she wasn't an elf until someone says otherwise.
Was a mage and got the "mindful, meaning" line.
Do other races have multiple lines though?
Celene + Briala is probably best for the country and the elves.
The only evidence we have is the Well woman not being an elf.
I think every race has their 'blood' line and mages all get the "mindful, meaning" one regardless of race.
.
Why so many people hate Fiona? Did I miss something?
Don't look at me. I love Fiona.
ugh Celene is really pretty awful in TME. Even her motivations for helping the elves are selfish. I did put Celene + Briala though because I hadn't read the books yet and didn't realize that
Spoiler
There is a way to reconcile all three of them though, correct? Gaspard and Briala are actually my favorite, I just think Gaspard's politics are awful and that he wouldn't be good for the empire in the long-term.
You can get all three of them to work together, but apparently it has bad consquences down the line. It also doesn't romantically reconile Briala and Celene.

What I meant was she's always been human. Never an elf. The artwork in her temple just shows her as an elf because she was worshipped by elves.
Thank you!
Was looking for them haha

...wait, you are a mage and got the "blood that is not blood" line? ...Now I don't understand anything. ![]()
I never had that and I always go Mages, so I guess it's different depending on that. I'm not planning to go the Templar route for a while, but I'm sure we can confirm either way.
Edit: Top of page AGAIN?! Are you kidding me forums?!
*grumbles and goes hunting for more screenshots*
I didn't get that plant on that scene XD
Are we sure that's Mythal? And not just a spirit? I've only seen that scene once so far, and I could've sworn it was Quizzy (who drank from the well) that started to glow and activated the mirror, so I may not have seen that version at all. Either way, I really hesitate to believe Mythal wasn't an elf without anything more concrete.

Wheeeeee, page 2000 celebrations! GO US!
I'm not good at the art stuff, so I figured I would put my credit-card swiping skills to good use instead and request a few words of comfort from Gareth David-Lloyd for us heart-broken Solavellans. And here's his message to us, just in time for page 2000:
