2,000 pages of Fade Tongue™... wonderful!
And what a tease with the GDL video... I have to wait for my lunch hour to go see it.
Oh, wow! This triggered a memory. I remember when people were originally putting up game files and one said something about "wet, naked Flemeth" and people were freaking out/wondering if it was a dev joke. IT MAKES SENSE NOW.
I'd forgotten about that until you brought it up.
Also, for the theory-crafters (I'm terrible at that), all this talk about the elves, the dwarves, Andruil and red lyrium... makes me think back to DA2 with that Primeval Thaig and The Profane. Any thoughts?
I've always thought that the Primeval Thaig had an elven connection, could it and golems that became Profane have been June's temple?
She led the vote for independence, the templars insisted on it being a war. At least she was willing to try to find a peaceful solution. I respect that she didn't want to lead a bunch of mages, including apprentices to their deaths because she was too prideful to stop fighting.
I feel like she had to know a vote for independence would lead to war. Like it would be absolutely inconceivable for anyone to think the Templars and the Chantry would be like "oh, you want to be free? Ok, yea go do that have fun!". In this case vote for independence = vote for war. It might feel better to not think of it that way, but it was the reality of the situation.
Solas.. keep in your mind.. I WILL LOVE YOU TILL THE END OF TIME!! I WOULD WAIT A MILLION YEARS!
Also I need to make myself a note to come back to these pages to see all the images I am missing. I know there are probably a lot of brilliant things I can't see atm ![]()
Wait. Girl. The First Betrayal triad HAD no lover! It was a SON who turned against his FATHER. Maybe the concept of it being a child turning against a parent is more what's happening!
Whoa. I don't think that's it, but you jostled my brain into something that fits.
The first triad was Earth-Sun-Elgar'nan, with Elgar'nan as the lover and the Sun as the jealous husband. Fits his Dalish myth like a glove. The twist is that power corrupts, and over time, it's twisted him into becoming his "Father", the Husband role, the False Sun.
Also checks another Cole movie reference off the list. Star Wars was Elgar'nan.
I'm... yeah. I'm on board with this. I think we've got something here.

To me it didn't even look like the current Flemeth, the hair was in a bun and she wasn't old. I think it was a mix of original Flemeth and Mythal, showing how their symbiotic relationship had effected even the Well.
Which does put a hole in my Mythal was sent through the eluvian and Solas killed Flemeth and the power she'd been growing for just this event theory.
I don't like to have theories lean too heavily on the art, because there tends to be some disconnect with the written lore sometimes, for one reason or another. Like Feynriel being used as proof for "half-elves" rather than "elf-blooded" because his features are a bit elfy. Even though it's canon that he's elf-blooded human, that sort of thing. And when you have a created spirit form, that can look like anything, especially a vague humanoid figure. I'm not really shooting down the theory that Mythal could've been human, I just feel the need for more solid evidence than that.
Wheeeeee, page 2000 celebrations! GO US!
I'm not good at the art stuff, so I figured I would put my credit-card swiping skills to good use instead and request a few words of comfort from Gareth David-Lloyd for us heart-broken Solavellans. And here's his message to us, just in time for page 2000:
.... If he had delivered that in Solas's voice I think that would have broken all of us Solasmancers (admit it, we'd all be down on the floor by the end of that 39 second clip). Fortunately he was speaking in his usual Gareth voice. I'm not entirely sure I could take a message delivered in Solas's voice now.
Apparently someone on Reddit datamined the scene and it's naked Flemeth defending the Well but that does come third/fourth hand and the person who mentioned it in General didn't post a link so who knows if it's true or not.
meh, don't really believe it until i datamine it myself. Ask on reddit about the file names and i can double check when I get home (at work now)
Thank you!! Yes, it is!
I thought so! It's lovely and I actually teared up the more I look at it. (Ugh! Solas makes me so emotional.
)
Out of likes... Here have a ![]()
.
More than 2000 pages. We've come so far...
From the days of hopeless speculation to even more far-fetched and hopeless speculation! But hey, I thought it was pretty crazy when people said the bald elf was going to be connected to a elven god!
Anyway congratulations my Solas loving friends!
Huh? People actually predicted that solas was an elven god? If I was on this thread at the time, I would think that's a crazy idea too. Incredibly far-fetched.
A video request done for 2000 pages and of the song Demons (A person asked me to use this song)
Yay, my request! Thank you so much! ![]()
EDIT: Really? Again?
