Fenris actually says the Tevene word, "Fenhedis", but I get it confused with "Fenedhis" all the time too. I've wondered if Fenhedis might be derived from Fenedhis, the ancient Tevinters took a lot of culture from the ancient elves, some words might have gotten in there too. Fenhedis and Fenedhis are both curse words, and they're awfully alike.
I hope they are. Otherwise that's just infuriatingly confusing.

Yay for Patch Notes!
And suddenly bow rogues developed a sense of self-preservation?
If that were the case, we would never Leaping Shot off a cliff ever again. Not possible.

Oh, oh Meer. I NEED YOU IN MY LIFE. WAIT FOR A SPOOOOTTTT. And I need novel length Babelas. Just... please give me some good old fashioned fluff. If it ends in tears I will never forgive you. Despite our love.
Senpai, oh senpai. Wherever I am, my heart belongs eternally to the gchat. *Sparkles dramatically.*

Slightly more self-preservation then.
My latest Lavellan managed to Leaping Shot his way off the map into a formless abyss. In that moment, I think I may have understood Sera's fear. ![]()

I want to read the fluff. Also not on gchat. But I did bring the glitter:

Someone really doesn't like it when you astrick your own curse words. Lol.
Well, crap in a sack. I do that all the time. Maybe the kitten gifs balance it out or something.

When will Solas and Lavellan stop hurting my heart? *_* UGH I just start thinking of them and it's that weird feeling between sadness and joy.

A little comic I'm sure some people here can relate to in regards to spoilers and Solas.
Spoiler
I tried doing the same thing as this artist, only I knew who Fen'Harel was, so the second someone blurted out that name in a "no spoilers" zone, his whole cover was blown. ='(
My beau also finished the game before me, so when I said, "I'm romancing Solas" (he romanced Bull), he threw his head back and had to bite his thumb to keep from laughing, or blurting it out, or both, and went, "Oh, Solas! Wait until you get to the end!" Unfortunately he's also only a casual fan of the DA series, so by the time I finally finished a week later, he was over it.

Lavellan: Just give me some hot old dudes with questionable intentions and we'll call it even.
Still out of likes but so much this. They have to be ancient elves, though. None of this beardy old man nonsense, Blackwall ![]()

given how little interest I have for porn fanfictions about him.
That's the spirit!
...I like Green Day.
WHEN I COME AROUUUUNNNDDD.
And there's nothing wrong with me
This is how I'm supposed to be
In a land of make believe
That don't believe in me
Siha posted in the Solas thread before it was cool.
But I must respectfully request you re-assess your feelings on porny Solas, Delphine, or I may have to have to ask you to leave.
Made. my. day.
The new one, not the last. And it's so very young yet, the rest of it can hardly rise above this.
Oh, wait... do I have to leave, too, if I'm not into prony Solas? O_o
Colonel can leave if he wants. Before he came we talked about actual scientific theories. Then he ran off Madar and Oxidants. Saddest day of my life.
And I still think about this every day. Sometimes I remember how it was and cry myself to sleep. Without tears, or sobbing; but just to express my level of sad. Madrar and Oxy, good times.

My sister finished the game a week before me and she got so shocked when she saw the stinger. (She told me she actually yelled out, "WHAAAT?!" much to the surprise of her husband.
) She knew I was romancing Solas so after she ended the game, she kept messaging me on Facebook to hurry up and end the game already because she wanted to see my reaction to the ending. That time, I knew there was something in the ending that surprised her, but I never figured out that it had something to with Solas being Fen'Harel. ![]()
When I finally ended the game and saw the epilogue, I sent her a Facebook message with me acting all shocked, crying, and bewildered; and with her replying back to me, "SURPRISE!!!". xD

I meant only in that any consequences that might have arisen from her choices never seemed to occur to her much.
I'm, er, thirty pages or so behind still. But on the Merril discussion front, which has likely been settled: ![]()
What I always found so irritating about Merrill was her staggering arrogance and ignorance. But I don't think she was ignorant of spirits' dangers, definitely not by the end. Nor of the dangers of messing with the Eluvian, (Which a dev has said was a bad move, but it remains to be seen why. What, is it Falon'din's specific vanity mirror?) or the precarious position of the Dalish in general.
It was her complete ignorance that Marethari and Hawke and everyone else cared about her, and would view her death as something horrible that needs to be prevented at any cost. She sees her life as meaningless when compared to the high and noble goal of restoring something, anything, to the People. It's the sort of arrogance that comes with a martyr or a hero complex, whatever you want to call it.
Only Merrill can solve the Eluvian, as she sees it. She was ostracized by her peers for her magical ability and studying lore when they were playing and hunting. This is why.
Mahariel and Tamlen died horrible deaths to the tainted Eluvian. But she can turn their deaths, and hers, into victory.
She sees herself as the only person with the right combination of knowledgeable, motivated, and being disposable. Marethari disagrees, vehemently, and throws their clan into chaos staying on Sundermount and takes Audacity into herself rather than let her daughter figure be possessed.
While it's infuriating, the complex reminds me of some people that are very near and dear to me. Merrill remains one of my all time favorite characters, as much as I want to shout through the screen at her sometimes.
After playing a Dalish Lavellan in the midst of the Inquisition, and dealing with the all of the elfiness going on, it gave me even more appreciation for her at times disturbing obsession with fixing that damn mirror. I finally realized that, in her position, I would be doing the exact same thing, just with more klutziness.
Anyways, back to catching up. ![]()
Until Attila: Total War finishes downloading, that is. ![]()
