I crafted it.  Tier 4 Battlemage Armour with Darkend Samite tint.  Looks amazing.

And he's pretty in blue... that must be it.

 

 

You're not alone. That entire scene I could rewatch many times (and I might actually have done so ) for that walk and his dialogue and the narration when he leads you to Skyhold.

Then Ameridan turned up with his badass golden dragonslaying armor, and I was like, sorry Solas.  Ameridan's armor is cooler.

I'm sorry, Sable but no. I would burn the world down to bring Best Elf back, but his armor was just...no.  It looked way too big.  He looked saxual in it, but my Lavellan did not.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought that. I was super excited when I got it, but then not so much when I saw how my girl looked in it. Then again, I am extremely picky.

LOL, I'm also one of the few people who liked how the Flames of the Inquisition armor looked on my Lavellan.  Apparently I just have bad armor taste 

 

Though some of it is doofy RP headcanon too.  Lavellan looks like such a little stick person in most of the rogue armor, and mine had insecurities about the job of Inquisitor for a while.  So I RP that she prefers the bulkier, scarier armor because she feels like it fits what people expect of the role.  And after a while, she just gets used to it: both the armor, and the role of Inquisitor.

But you're a rogue. You're supposed to be bouncing around. How do you do expect to do that in golden trash bag armor??? I feel you on that she looked a little thin, so I put mine in the Orlesian armor and she had spiky metal feet and fists. I may have Rp-ed that she punched a fair few people with those things.

I couldn't stand the look of it on my Lavellan, but I adored the heck out of it on my Adaar - with the "headcanon" that it was some old, almost forgotten piece of ceremonial armor they found in the chantry basement and was the only thing they had that would fit her until new armor was made. So she ran around the Hinterlands in this ridiculous and mostly useless armor. It was wonderful.

I dunno.  Whatever magic keeps Sera from lighting literally everything on fire when she goes all Tempest-y allows Lavellan to go bouncing around in a frillion pounds of armor

You're right! I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER.  I was blinded.  I was in the midst of printing it out and sticking it on the fridge.

On the page it looked nothing.  At first simple, almost comic. Just a pulse. Then suddenly - the vision of Andruil unwavering, till Oghren took over and sweetened it into a picture of such delight! This was no composition by a performing monkey! This was art I'd never seen before. Filled with such longing, such unfulfillable longing, it had me trembling. It seemed to me that I was looking at the very voice of God.

 

Sidenote: everyone should watch Amadeus.

Even after I play the DLC I'm sure Felassan will still be Best Elf.
