And guys. Today is such a good day. I have calmly accepted my failings as an adult as I sit in front of my computer, eating half a bag of Miss Vickie's Original chips in place of a proper lunch in my newly purchased, $70 Roots sweatpants that I've decided I'm going to be living in from now on, because they are the most comfortable thing in the world.

 

Everything feels oddly serene to me since accepting today's regrettable life choices. Solas could really learn from me. He obviously just needs a really good pair of sweats and a high-speed internet connection.

Ameridan is Best Elf for me now because he was all liek "I DIDN EVEN WANNA BE INQUISITOR YO!" and my girl was all like "AW SH*T SON NEITHER DID I!" and there was a serious bonding moment. Too bad it was short lived. ;_; Plus he sort of resonated with my initial RP idea for my girl who believed in both the elven Gods and the idea of the Maker (after Cassandra asking if there's room for her god with all of ours), but it became to difficult to execute in game without some serious headcanoning and seeming contradictory ingame, so it was scrapped for her being purely Dalish.

 

Felassan gains the new, separate title of Awesome Elf title though. x)

 

Edit: Solas title? Hmmm. I'll need to think about that one. (inb4 Hobo Elf)

Ameridan isn't really best elf to me, just because we don't know all that much about him. But he can be best inquisitor if he wants. Solas is still best wolf.

Yeah its focused on Elves quite a bit. I suppose its nothing new after playing Inquisition though.

It gives you some interesting insight into Dalish culture from the perspective of other elves, which I think is worth it. But lore wise, it doesn't add a ton.

In terms of the elven religion's view of the Maker (or lack thereof), it might be interesting to point out that the elven creation myth doesn't stem from their gods. According to Dalish understanding, Elgar'nan and Mythal, the Father and the Mother, did not create the world. They were born of the world. The world was always there, and while it doesn't indicate the presence of a single creator that made the world it also doesn't necessarily contradict it.

 

which is why i'm okay with a dalish elf believing that the maker does in fact exist, but maybe doesn't worship him.

You're right! I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER.  I was blinded.  I was in the midst of printing it out and sticking it on the fridge.

 

 

Have you played the DLC? I read TME - Felassan is great. But Ameridan...AMERIDAN...is wonderful.   WONDERFUL.   

 

It's okay.  Sometimes great art can take a while to get.  You could look at that picture every day for a year and see something new in it each time.
