And if he ever brings a lady home, "WHOOO IIIIIS DIIIS WOOOOOMAAN TEEEEAAAAAAAAAAGAAAAAAAAAN!?" ? XD

..I just found out that I am a Chantry sister. (pfffft)

me?

Well, I'm the Divine... so I guess that makes me your boss!  :P

Fetch me a cuddly baby fennec my minion! And a Ben & Jerry's ice cream, please!  :)

Edit* Huh, Leliana became Divine in my canon play through...  I'm beginning to wonder if dying my hair red wasn't as much of a coincidence as I thought...

But here's your fennec!

I took one for myself too. :D

I think my first act as the new Divine is to replace the Maker with baby fennecs... :D

And as I recall Patrick Weekes killed a lot of fennecs and teased us about it, so he can be our new Maferath. ;)

Congrats about the pregnancy! Best wishes to you :D.

Ooooo! Babies, YAY!!! Congrats, take care of yourself, and I hope the morning sickness is over soon and you have at least a normal pregnancy! My girls are in for a shock, twins run in our family and they skip a generation...so they are probably going to be surprised.

Oh my gosh.. You made me remember the twins and triplets that were on both sides of my family. I am not ready for three babies at once! We're also not planning to try until later (30s); which heightens your chance to have multiples.. Maker preserve me .

Hehehehehe ... I teased my brother-in-law mercilessly about triplets the last time my sister was pregnant.  Especially since they already had 2 kids and my sister practically bribed him for a third one.  And a cousin of mine had two girls and she and her husband tried for a boy ... and got twin girls.

I have twin brothers, and my grandmother said her brother was a surviving twin. (My great Grandfather passed away at 95, 24 years ago.) He worked for the railroad and seeing a doctor was reserved for broken bones.

Congrats, Ave!!

My dragon age namesake - well, only half a namesake, my parents hated Bethany but loved Beth, so that's what's on my birth certificate - is either a) dead, b) stuck in perhaps the worst circle in Thedas, or c) a grey warden, and thus part of an organisation which involves constantly fighting blighted creatures in grim caverns, induces horrible nightmares, and has a very low life expectancy.

I actually prefer Carver as a character, ironically enough.

I don't have a DA namesake. I'm unique, whooo!

Funnily enough my mom has read an article today that claims that children with rare names can grow resentful about it (my name's Tina, which in Poland is considered a foreign and therefore rare name... though there are a lot of dogs named Tina for some reason >.>''') and asked me if I was ever annoyed by it and I was like "ey? Annoyed? There are 30 zillion Kates and 25 bajilion Monikas and most have to find some sort of way, nickname usually, to distinguish themselves from one another - and I'm just Tina :D Easy and simple to remember. What's not to like?:)"

Sounds like my husband's grandfather who drove himself to the hospital while having a heart attack. *mumbles* crazy Frisian people..

Kate (or "Katarzyna" here) is a cute name, but over here it's definitely overused - or at least was overused when I was born, since a significant lot of women my age or a bit younger are named Kate, including a close cousin and several cousins farther away in family tree.

I have a common name, at least it used to be. It's not as common as it once was. I know at least two shows that the 'moms' have my name. Boy Meets World, Good Luck Charlie, and I know there are more. But I don't think there is anyone in the DA universe with my name.

I did shamelessly play on my name and it's meaning to name both Mia (Amelia) and Carina (Means Beloved), for my Trevelyan and not-Lavellan FanFic PCs ^_^

That's kinda like my mom - she has a name I consider really pretty (Halina), but while I know quite a few Halinas around my moms' age, I don't think I've met or heard or anyone younger with such name. Oh well... if I'd ever have a daughter I think I'd name her Kalina :D A little tribute that's also quite local (it's a somewhat old-fashioned name and name of a flower bush)

I was very surprised to run into two people that have my name in DAI. One is a countess you can meet when going Josie's route to deal with the House of Repose, and the other is a citizen of Sahrnia, part of the Caged Confession quest.

Well I was going to wait to announce this at Christmas, but I know a few of you have already seen on Twitter. BUT- I said I've been really busy and that's why you guys haven't seen me around this forum lately, except to post cryptic hints once or twice. But here's the deal, I am really busy- but mostly really tired, nauseated, and kind of bloated.

Because I'm pregnant!

WITH TWINS!  :o    :D  <3

Anyway, so that's my big news! I'm only about 8 w 3 d pregnant right now, so everyone who could send any prayers, karma, juju, whatever, in my general direction that would be great. I've had a loss before, so we're of course both nervous and excited, and so far everything looks great- we've seen both beans and both heartbeats and all my numbers look good, but it's still very early and still a lot could happen, which is why we weren't going to tell right away, but honestly I'm way too excited.

I am taking name dragon-age themed name suggestions, something cool my husband won't notice is DA related. He's already nix'ed Alistair. Killjoy.

Anyway, carry on! Miss you guys! <3

OMG! Congratulations!!!! <3  Twins are awesome!

Oooh, names, names..... so no Zevran or Morrigan? :D I like Nathaniel a lot, it sounds almost elven. Duncan! How about Duncan? Or Isabela? Sebastian and Anders are also existing names, though the latter might be... charged. :D

So many possibilities! #.#

Isn't 'Kasia' a short for Katarzyna, btw? I like Kasia. Katia, though (a local version of Kate) I can't stand. Go figure :?

Well rare or not, I think a lot of kids resent their names. I surely did when I was little, it's not exactly rare but not terribly common and I still wanted to change it for ages. My parents chose it so it would sound good in the 3 languages that are important to the family: English since I was partly raised in the States, Hungarian for the other half of my life and Italian because our family is Italian. Nothing is ever bloody simple in my family.

Mainly though it was the Beatles song inspired them. *rolleyes* Parents. (Never mind the crazy ideas I have for my potential children, most derived from games. :bandit: My children might hate me.)

I think the name Halina is really pretty, which is why I chose it for my fic. I still find it amusing that it's your mother's name. Is your mother a curly-haired blonde, lesbian mage, by any chance? :D

"Kasia" is certainly the most popular abbreviation of the name, but we don't really use shortenings of a name as actual names. So 99% of all "Kasias" are officially "Katarzynas" :)

But it's a cute thing about Polish language that we can create (and actively use) many short name forms and especially diminutive forms so "Katarzyna" is not just "Kasia" - it's also "Kaśka", "Kasiunia", "Kasieńka", "Kasinieńka" and so on xD

Or take even Tina - I'm not just Tina - I'm Tinka, Tinusia, Tineczka, Tiśka, Tisia and some other more exotic or funny forms, like Tinieńka, Tisieńka, Tisiaczek, Tinek or Tinuś

I know one (a friend's wife), and went to school with two others. Even common enough to be here, either in immigrants or Polish-American families.

I'm a Christina and I absolutely hate being called Tina. Never do that. Ever. Either my full name or Chris, though I've used Cee in usernames before a few times.
