To be honest, I'm moving on from DAI in general.

 

Not entirely yet, but it will happen anyway - I mean, it has to. Given that it has been a while since something gathered my interest so much and made me so curious about what's next I guess it may still take some time to move away from the franchise, but it's inevitable. I intend to stick to forums and observe what happens with game development, but moving farther away will eventually happen, especially when we know that new material (aside from some books or comics) won't be coming anytime soon. I'd get crazy just from waiting for something if I won't find anything else to occupy my free time with 

 

It's the same with any other game, or franchise or series I'm waiting for, like new ASOIAF book, for example. Or new Elder Scrolls title. It's not as much moving away, as putting it on a shelf for a time being. But unless something big happens that consumes most of my time or thoughts, I assume that any news on working on next title and its release being imminent will eventually draw back my interest.

Okay, before I got to bed, I decided to do a little test run and recreate my Lavellan using screenshots (i.e. cellphone pictures) of the sliders from my PS3. And wow, she looks different!

I think she looks much better outside of the character creation screen though. The eye colors are much more vibrant than in the PS3 version.

Well, at least now I could see that she definitely has some sort of freckles on her face or something. Anyway, I'll try importing from my PS3 save tomorrow and see how she ends up looking from there.

So I'm just now replaying Mythal's temple. And something happened I didn't realize it would.

Abelas.. has the same flower Vallaslin my Lavellan is using XD since it replaces Tattoo nr2.

D: I do not like him with that.. But I cannot change my Lavellan's tattoo now cause I've been recording and taking all screenshots again since this Lavellan is way prettier..

It's not that bad, but I think this tattoo does something to his face texture also.. It's weird, not smooth, it looks like he has a dirty face or hasn't shaved in a while (Specially from far away D:)

And I definitely think that there are demons (and spirits) that are very simple one-dimensional - simply because they haven't grew in complexity. Cole even says that most spirits are pretty inert when it comes to personality growth - they just stick to what interests them, in a pretty narrow sense. And Solas tells us that to explore more Fade and find interesting areas, one must be interesting himself.

 

Basically, spirits like Cole, as well as Solas himself, appear to be more proactive than regular spirits. They want to interact with more things, find out about them or the real world.

 

Thanks for your thoughtful explanation, so it sounds that a "spirit of wisdom" is really more a designation than an actual identity, while in some unique cases, a spirit might actually be "special" enough to develop its own identity, and therefore earning and choosing for itself a name, like Cole, and probably Solas too. So I wonder if it was to highlight this difference that Bioware did not bother to name any other spirits - not even Solas' friend in All New, Faded for Her.

 

Ok, having looked at it in that way, I think I can finally reconcile my perception of Solas with theories of him having once been a spirit of wisdom
