Aaah I can't decide between RDF and both, I'm kinda afraid of the 2 naturally growing apart and I don't know if I can handle having to keep tracks on so many different locations

there's some regulations you might wanna peruse

Alright. Got my 1st post made and my avi changed so I should be golden.
I wasn't here from the beginning, because I usually play humans and figured I'd play a human again in DAI, which I did for my first, unfinished playthrough. I liked how Solas looked and knew he'd be one of my favourite characters as the release date for DAI approached. I was disappointed that he was not going to be someone my human rogue could romance.
But then I blew up my computer (not literally) and it took a while for me to save up enough to buy the parts and build myself a new one. By the time that was done I had totally lost interest in finishing the human rogue's playthrough so I created my elf. And that way I was able to romance one of the best characters BioWare has ever written, and got to meet so many of you folks here in the Blanketfort.
Thanks to all of you for being so reasonable and good-natured. I avoid most other threads because the vitriol contained in many of them is tedious and not what I want to spend my time reading. On the other hand, the Blanketfort has always been a bastion of levelheadedness and thoughtful discussion, not to mention all of the Solas and Lavellan fan art curated by CapricornSun and NightSymphony. You're all awesome.
I've made an account on realdragonagefans - same name, same avatar for now (although I do have a better screen cap of my Lavellan, I have yet to crop it down to size).
I don't understand the different display name than member name part but oh well, it's not mandatory so alright

Not sure if those rules are still enforced or not but thought that a few people might miss them so just wanted to highlight them just in case, easy to miss if you're caught up in the whole closure faff and trying to get used to a new forum all at once trying to make transitions as smooth as possible for you guys.

I appreciate it. I signed up with little more than a glance at the site. If the rules are enforced, I would have been kicked within a few hours because I hadn't posted anything nor had I changed my avi/name.

I'm sure AutumnWitch would have been lenient with all the influx of confused refugees btw, she seems really lovely and sweet - I was just bein safer rather than sorry thats all
It's most likely a safety measure to make it harder to discern your account name. (And make account hijacking harder).

Thanks! I did miss that, I just created an account and left it at that as I wasn't sure where we were going to go. Also not used to forums that will delete accounts that haven't posted within 48 hours ... but then I don't belong to a lot of forums in general.
It seems like HTTrack is making 2 kopies of every page. I dont know why but in the FAQ they wrote "This is a common issue, but that can not be easily avoided!". So... there's no solution to this and it will take 3 times longer to download everything

None of you probably know me and that is because I never contributed to the forums. BUT long story short - I only discovered this gem of a thread at the start of this year (due to my shamefully late introduction to the DA fandomyou have permission to slap me for that!
Since the forums will be closing soon, I just wanted to say - thank you all for getting me through the Solas feels and being aweso!me in general with all the theories and speculations! I just hope that this thread finds a new home and these wonderful fan interactions continue, and of course if you will have me I would be honored to join you in your new home Hopefully I don't sound like a stalker

This is an informational post regarding 'BSN 2' as a whole, rather than something specifically about the Blanketfort or about locations for Blanketfort 2.
I've seen VSN (Vroom Vroom Social Network) and TSG (TopShelfGaming) suggested/linked a lot as substitute forums for BSNers to go to after the closure. I've signed up to both in case I decide to browse/post on them (I can see myself hankering after a true BSN-style community sometimes, lol) but wasn't clear on what the deal was in terms of their origins and differences, so I asked and was kindly provided with the backstory and details.

A number of users split off from VSN to form TSG following some disagreements over users having been banned.
