@DAEanders6 have to ask @CabLivingstone -- I don't know when or what we're saying in re casting. That said, don't take IMDB as gospel.
Thanks for trying
Guess we'll have to wait until either the VA tweets something or a VA interview gets posted.

Oh my GOD this location is sooooo beautifullll!!! SOoo reminds me of ^________^ haha! My Fem Dalish Inq will be such Solas stalker
Heh, it makes me think of this scene's location a bit (which I wouldn't mind re-enacting between Solas and my FemQuisitor, although roles may be reversed considering he's the reserved/introverted type and I'd be playing the lovable goofball role...
)

Any updated thoughts on what Solas's tarot card allocation could be, now that we have more and a decent amount of info on his role and personality?
I used to be a tarot nerd during my teens, but unfortunately I missed the chance to share what I know when people were talking about the subject. For long I suspected Solas related to the High Priestess or The Hermit, but after the info we got about him today, I'm sure Solas represents The Hermit. The High Priestess has feminine qualities and is more emotional and intuitive, while The Hermit is a masculine, intellectual type. More about The Hermit:
Some frequent keywords include:
The Waite version of the card shows an old man carrying a staff in one hand and a lit lantern in the other. In the background is a wasteland. Just beyond the wasteland is a mountain range.
The Hermit has internalized the lessons of life to the point that he is the lesson. The Hermit, as a kind of shamanistic hero, has made the complete journey – both the withdrawal and the return. As Joseph Campbell said, “A hero ventures forth from the world of common day into a region of supernatural wonder: fabulous forces are there encountered and a decisive victory is won: the hero comes back from this mysterious adventure with the power to bestow boons on his fellow man.”
There are two possible ways this card can be interpreted:
In retrospect if Solas is usually sleeping in ancient ruins and other places where the Fade is thin, that might explain why he's wearing his pajamas everywhere.
Gotta be ready to nap at a moment's notice!
Interesting, thank you Ericander. ![]()
I'm an INFJ, everytime I've taken the test it's been the same...I haven't changed at all lol
<high 5> I'm also INFJ. I imagine Solas is INF, but could be P or J.
I imagined INF as well Morroian, still pondering P vs J. That's from a dichotomy-based approach though, I haven't started thinking about it from a cognitive functions approach yet.
I added your DD Solas to the OP just for fun section coldwetnose, hope that's okay. ![]()
Blankeflos I was literally just thinking on how I think he's most likely to be the Hermit. ![]()
Maker there were plenty of posts to like this day! I'm pretty sure almost all of us have used up the likes because of awesomness overload hahaha ![]()
Interesting, thank you Ericander.
no pra-blay-mo

I'm an INFP. I feel very similar to Solas from his bio so far, but I can definitely say he's more of a thinker than me (I mean he's the mind...) so I would say maybe INTP? (I'm bad at judging personality types, honestly, but it's fun haha)
Hey is there High quality picture of Solas with Quote?
out of likes what is this madness solas thread

Wow, it's perfect!
...A little too perfect

I'm also INFP , and sometimes we are called the Dreamers.
So....

OOOH touche! I didn't even think of that detail!
I can't help feeling he's a little more logical than our type is generally considered, though. But now when I think of being a Dreamer, a whole new thought comes to mind thanks to DA. x3
Some people think it might be Allen Leech since it says so on IMDB, however there is no official confirmation and sometimes IMDB isn't reliable.
Thank you!
How? How is it that Solas is everything I ever wanted him to be? It's like magic, I swear. Weekes read our minds.
Edit: Guys, I'm also weirded out by how much we got right in our speculation about his personality. Down to his damn accent (if he's really voiced by Allan Leech)! Either they took ideas from us or we're actually the best speculators ever. Maybe Mr. Schumacher knew exactly how right we were about some things and was cackling
Seriously, I'm amazed by how much we got correct...although, of course, you use a gatling gun and you're bound to hit something. lol XD
I was very happy that the talk we had about our Happy Little Fade family sounds very possible though!
Ha! You inspired my own banter.

Did... I do something wrong?CASSANDRA: [SIGHS THE SIGH OF THE LONG SUFFERING]
Chi! Love it!
So... who wants to tweet Allen Leech? >.>
I did, but then I saw Ericander did too...hopefully we don't annoy him.

Also, is anyone else wondering if his abilities are normal for any mage (he just created his own school, basically) or if he actually IS a somniari like we were debating before?

Back to the guessing games!! lol
he reminds me of edward o'brien in dark city
My fellow Solasses (wait, what do we call ourselves?) I am crazy proud of you guys and this glorious thread. Brings a tear to my eye.
