So okay, if anyone could tell me something it would be appreciated concerning the Romance..

I have seen 3 scenes so far that could be considered as 'Romance' scenes: The Dream Kiss, The Balcony Kiss, and the Orlesian Ball dance scene. I'm now about 40 hours into the game and I have done big story quests, as well as his personal quest with his Best friend being a spirit and another scene with Solas and Cole. Does anyone know when another scene is suppose to come up? I have done the Fade quest (that is apart of the Grey Warden mission) was felt sure that there would be at least a talk about it, but nothing happened. I'm so afraid that I'm missing something.

I think I'm gonna settle into the Solas love train. I just got to the part in Haven and finished my conversation with him. His mannerisms, his poeticisms/manner of speaking, his shiny head, his intrigue. What a dreamboat.

My next Inquisitor is going to be a human who rivals him for sheer expansive intellectuality. They're going to have an unrequited and unspoken smarty-pantsmance or something, and hopefully Cullen won't notice that she only ever comes to his office via Solas' room.

It might make sense for him to be in love with Flemeth if you could romance him as a non-elven inquisitor for the "muahaha" factor, but in my opinion since it is only elven females that can romance him it doesn't exactly make sense. I mean why backstab only an elven woman? If his intent was to backstab someone it'd be much easier to do so to a race with little knowledge of elven lore.

If youve finished the game you'd know that Flemeth isnt human....She carries the soul of Mythal. From the ending it definetly looked like that Solas loves Flemeth. He also comments in one or two cutscenes towards the end that the lore surrounding the Elven "gods" are wrong.

I wouldn't really say that's definitely an 'I love you' sort of thing, that can also be seen as a familial gesture as well. I went into the spoiler going 'wait wut those two are an item' and really that's the same thing many of my family members do to comfort me when I'm feeling the weight of the world. The 'old friend' part also makes me think it's not that at all honestly. It could be, but I'm not seeing anything that screams 'these two are in love', at least not in a romantic way. Platonic? Most definitely. I just am not convinced it's more.

 

Edit: That and Bioware really doesn't do subtlety well. I'd expect something more overt.

I went into the spoiler going 'wait wut those two are an item' and really that's the same thing many of my family members do to comfort me when I'm feeling the weight of the world. Well watching the video over and over I originally thought Flemeth gave her life to Solas...But now I think that Solas took her soul out of necessity to power himself up since he seems a bit sad after he does it..

Do you have a physical copy? I had problems with mine. If you do, have you tried disinstalling Origins and reinstalling it when you insert the disk? It worked for me

He says that he found out what the Dalish face tattoos really mean. They aren't worship of the elven Gods, they're ancient slave markings. I almost died laughing. LobselVith8 is gonna be so pissed.

Well it has been stated that Flemeth isn't human since Origins. =P

I dont doubt that its a love of sorts but i am not certain if it is a romantic love. For one Morrigan makes refference to Flemeth having er... various "lovers" of sorts in DA:O, and in his last romance scene the way his character looks at the Inquisitor is different from how he looks to Flemeth, as is the dialogue. He very much looks uh.. "enchanted" (for lack of better word) with the inquisitor, but with Flemeth it looks more like close friendship mixed with regret.

 

In any case though Bioware has a wonderful cliffhanger to go from if they so choose. Preferably in an expansion or DLC of some sort so the Inquisitor can get some sort of goodbye from Solas at the very least haha.
