I almost missed it too before backtracking. If you remember the fight with the two huge pride demons, it's below that. Right path takes you low where you can find the stuffed nug for the fear mini quest. Left path takes you up to the pride demons if I'm not mistaken. I was half asleep and in a hurry. lol

Incredibly late to the Solas-Love game, but I had NO idea that the man who played Ianto Jones in Torchwood was his voice actor? Holy ****, that makes me love him even more! When I was starting out with the game I made an Elfquisitor with the intent to romance Cullen, Solas and maybe Iron Bull just because I decided I would act 'naturally' (ex; not say things I know will make them like me but say both nice and potentially rude things based on my Quizzies beliefs. I already had an argument with Solas actually.) so I figured the romantic options would come into play at some point.

 

Anyways, I never really expected to like him so much but when I first met him my heart was like, "Oh ****, not another mage! We promised ourselves we wouldn't do this again!" (Oddly enough I think Cullen is thinking the same thing right now) but, alas, I seem to have a type. It's awesome.

Also, I was wondering if people were having issues with character markers in Haven? I've already had the first couple cutscenes with Cullen and Leliana but when I attempt to find them to talk in general they aren't where the marker claims they are? Is this just a bug or will I have to wait awhile for them to, uh, 'spawn' back to the location it says they're at?

Yeah, sometimes people tend not to respawn, just save and reload, that should get them to appear.

Also now starting a male elf playthrough for Dorian, it's going to be weird not romancing Solas, hah.

Ah, thank you! I was kind of bummed because I wanted to talk to them before I headed out.

 

Another question, if you don't mind, about the War Room? How do I know whether the things I want each person to do is being done? I clicked on one of the options and a checkmark appeared, but I don't know whether that means it's being taken care of or I have to press another button to confirm? There's no 'This will take blank amount of time' appearing or anything? It's the only thing I'm super confused about, to be honest.

I am having an impossible time not rushing through the game to see Solas's romance scenes. I don't think I'll be able to play a female elf without romancing him.

 

I've had the opposite problem, I have almost no scenes triggering with some companions. Iron Bull wants nothing to do with my Inquisitor. I haven't had a conversation with him since the first one at Skyhold.

I've had a bunch of scenes for Josie, Dorian, one for Sera, and a few for Solas. That's about it. I don't think my approval is very high with some of them, they're not fans of me trying to get Solas's approval as high as possible. And I think Varric's scenes for me are bugged. His quest for updating Bianca is bugged, and I've done all of his Hard in Hightown quests already. But he never has anything to talk about.

I really don't like the armor of the dragon. It's too bulky. I like the way the scout coat looks on my archer elf. It's more form fitting. I'm rolling a Dalish archer & armor of the dragon just looks wrong. I like the weapons though.

Yeah I have the same problem :/
I've got pretty much nothing at all since coming to Skyhold, only Solas romance scenes
And everyone has either the same things to talk about or nothing at all

Personally I didn't really get a lot of Varric or Sera scenes. I wasn't too concerned with focusing on Varric since I know him from DA2 on my rush to finish story run. And Sera... well. I was too "elfy" for Sera (and she gives me a headache). I was running a mage inquisitor and I figured as the keeper's second my character would have a lot of interest in magic and elven history. For Iron Bull most of the scenes I got for him was because I dragged him around everywhere. There are opportunities to get a fairly substantial amount of approval from these scenes.

 

If you can get enough approval to get quests from certain characters you can get a lot of approval from those. I'm not completely sure if you have to have the specific character along with you for the quest to get approval, but I generally bring them along just to be safe. Same goes for their requests on the war table. I'm pretty sure that's the whole reason Viviene didn't hate me.

Not around yesterday cause I was so busy playing. And OMG SOLAS I truthfully haven't gotten very far (If Redcliffe is very far) so aside from the initial flirtations with Solas, I haven't had the chance to continue. But my biggest surprise was how much I actually like Sera, even though we don't get along that well. Vivienne too, believe it or not.

yeah its a banter that happens when walking around with them. I tried to take everyone around at least a little bit on side quests and got a little bit for different combinations but Sera was the only one to point out the romance for me. I think banter only triggers in a few areas, and since the maps are so big, it doesn't trigger very often but i could be wrong here.

 

It seemed more like the characters in the inquisition disliked each other. It felt like whenever I talked to them about each other they looked down on the other characters. I think there definitely should have been more character bonding, after all they share the same ultimate goal in the story and are all part of the inquisition's inner circle. I think inquisition did an amazing job on expanding the world and giving us a variety of environments as well as a story that made us feel epic but that came at the cost of character development. If we're lucky maybe along with some of the expansions we might get a few additional character clips or more chance to get to know the characters, maybe some mini-adventures for them, however I don't really see that happening. 'Tis a nice thought though.

 

I'm basically writing my own version of a DLC story that picks up from after the final battle. I'm going to write about Lavellan searching elven ruins for information on the orb since Solas was so broken up about it. I'll probably have to get Morrigan to give my character a few clues of where to start though, since I opted to let her drink from the well. I'm not quite sure how I'm going to have the story play out, but hopefully it can cheer me up a bit. I'm not sure there will be DLC to resolve the Solas storyline, I really hope there is as I'd like closure or even some sort of reconciliation for my character, But it's not a guarantee and I need some way to enjoy the game again. I've been having trouble with a second play through the game( as well as finishing content post game without Solas) but I keep getting hung up on my storyline canon and continually remake my characters trying to create one I like nearly as much as my first Inquisitor.

WHYYYYYYYYYY!?!?! I did NOT expect that to happen, that was the bittersweetest thing I have ever witnessed. And it was goddarn perfect, how can a thing like that be so perfect!? IT WAS SO SAD I... I'm kind of sad that we didn't get a "rides off into the sunset" ending (which I would've loved) but strangely I am content with how they handled his romance, just wow... It was so well done... Now, ahem, I'm going to sit in a corner and bawl my eyes out and maybe romance Cullen afterwards ...I'm so impressed but so ruined... *runs away weeping*

I think they also trigger when you complete quests occasionally? I've had times where I complete quests and they start talking right after i turn them in. I'll have to switch it up more this play through romancing Sera with my Adaar. Although it's so hard not to take Solas everywhere with me.

I feel like some dislike eachother but I kept the same around that atleast in banter, it seems like they grew to like each other. Solas and Bull argue about the Qun quite a bit but eventually I noticed them warming up to each other, they even play "mental chess" with each other and Solas makes a comment about supporting Bull after his choice quest and becoming "Tal-Vashoth". Both Bull and Solas liked Cole and supported him though so I didn't notice much change there. Even if Bull thought Cole was weird haha. I wonder if it's something that you don't see unless you keep them around for lots of banter. I wish it would have happened during cutscenes more.

I really really want DLC like Mass Effect got. I am a little envious even, I want a game where we play the same Hero and get to continue on with the same people(mostly). I really don't feel like everything with my Inquisitor is over like I did with Hawke and the Warden. I'm so upset at the thought of a new game with a new Hero. I guess I'm just a little tired of it?

Considering the fact that Morrigan's story is still not over, and she's still so important and that's kind of the vibe I'm getting from Solas... aggh I don't even know this is all so frustrating.

I guess it's good that it affects me so deeply, for what it's worth. Mission accomplished writers.

Talk to Varric! The game of Wicked Grace is something Varric invites you to and it's great. If you're disappointed that the characters don't seem to interact much, it should help--for some of them, at least. (Solas is, unfortunately, not present. Most of the others are, though.)
