Hi, I wanted to change the music from suicide mission to something that fitted it more for my style, since I think suicide mission is out of place.

 

So I managed to get a good size and length for the file - this is the specific music file I'm using to replace Suicide Mission's place in the mod

The first part is uplink from Mass Effect 1, followed by Arrival to Earth in Transformers 1. I managed to convert it to ogg format, this is before I did though.

 

I used the instructions in this topic here http://me3explorer.f...rized-t132.html

 

I replaced the specific file named mus_mus_end_destroy_ex_time_comp_2 (suicide mission) and replaced the PCC file and the .AFC file in the .sfar package, however when I run the game, I only get silence when the theme is supposed to come on. I used the proper program and it's version, so I dunno what's wrong.

 

Any help would be appreciated

Is this the only tutorial because I'm not exactly adept to hex editing.

There is one guide afaik, yes. As a rule: if there wasn't a need to hex edit you wouldn't be told to. Nobody has 'fun' hex editing. Modding the ME series is not easy.

Ottemis is correct. If people write tutorials they only send you to hex if you need it. However, I didn't know hex editing at all until I started this so it can be learned. Also, I got tripped up a bit with Fob's music tutorial and wrote additional info here which may help.
