I found out on one of the fan DA:I's sites (This one), that there are 72 variations of inquisitor.

4 Races * 2 Genders * 3 Classes * 3 Specializations = 72 Variations

Simple question to people, who pay more attention to the official DA:I news:

Have you ever encountered this "72" number in any official statements, because, if it's true, the first logical thought that comes to my mind is a "Dwarven mage".

Not a troll or hype post, just trying to clear out the situation.

They've said dwarves cannot be mages, but any other class + race is legit.

Not quite sure why Dwarves can't be mages. I know it has to do with the lore, but Dagna was planning to join a circle. Of course, we don't know if she was successful or not.

I think Dagna was meaning to join the Circle as a researcher and it mostly has to do with how Dwarves (that we know of) are incapable of having magic abilities.

Yes, but as a scholar, not as a mage herself.

Centuries of living around so much lyrium has cut them off from the Fade. No Fade, no magic.

Dagna joined to study but cant do magic herself. Its partly due to their working on lyrium mines they resist lyrium innately. Which in effect limits that becoming a mage nearly impossible. The 72 combinations is a bit construed due to no dwarven mages due to this. Now not sure on red lyrium affects.

Dwarves cannot be mages because they do not naturally connect to the Fade and mages draw their energies from the Fade.

Dagna wanted to join the Circle as an academic pursuit; it's the difference between studying acoustics and playing a violin.

This thread just makes me want Dagna back even more. I love characters that love learning and science for its own sake.

Dagna joined the Circle to study magic only. Lore wise I believe because of Dwarves continuous exposure to Lyrium makes them extremely resistant to magic and to lack a proper connection to the fade.

Sandal is indeed different. Lots of speculation about what he really is. I read somewhere he's the bastard son of someone from house Aeducan. Other than that nothing is really known about him. I really hope he's in Inquisition!

The bastard son of house auducan thing was a banter you could over-hear some carta members saying in the legacy DLC. Basically they say the kid in Hawkes house looked like the half elf Auducan bastard there were rumors about.

Enchantment? Enchantment!

I think he is in DA:I, cause he was called to Orlais. Most likely will get to see him again SniperWolfMandy. Id be sad if didn't and he was in the same city.

If he is around I hope he doesn't live with us. He was cute the first game but I was sick of him by the second. If he wasn't around our house/camp all the time that probably wouldn't have happened.
