I hope there is some kind of pitch or tone slider for the voices, even if the change it creates is subtle. With the multiple races I think you'd need them--generally speaking dwarves don't sound a heck of a lot like elves vocally. Don't get me wrong, i'm extremely happy the PC is voiced as they were in DA2 but I can think of a lot of possible PCs for DA:I where the two voice's they've shown so far just wouldn't fit their face.

I have heard they were looking into that option a while back

Ya, I feel like qunari(the males aleast) should be a lot deeper then the other races.

I'm curious about the status of this option too. Are we getting it or is it impractical?

I also hope for it.  I generally find they make female voices too high and chirpy and male voices too low and booming.

I hope it's in, but I highly doubt it.

Doesn't that usually ruin the quality?

My only experience with it is Saints Row IV; it can ruin it if you take it to far--it can make it sound chipmunk-esque or so deep you can't understand the words. But with a light hand I found it worked just fine.

Bearing in mind that's a Saints Row game so they probably let the player use the extremes for potential comedy value. Anyway considering that changing the pitch was an option on the Windows 98 sound recorder I don't see why it couldn't be in DA:I.

If you think it does, then don't do it.

I find that subtle adjustments can make a big difference without making things sound weird. I like to take early 1960s pop songs and slow them down, and correspondendingly lower the pitch, 10-15%. They sound better, I think.

Whoa I must have missed something - have we already heard the American accent male voice option??

As for the female voices, I think the two options already fit the different races quite nicely.

I want to see pitch control. Actually made a thread about it a while ago. They said they were looking into it but no new info on it yet, I'm guessing it's not in. And before people start arguing that it makes the voices weird or whatever, if you think it does, don't use it, simple.

i want this know because of only having two options but I really wish they took the SWTOR route. I know having 8 voices seems challenging but it's better because each race would have their own, unique voice besides choosing between two. I know people love choice but I don't want an elven Inquisitor sounding the same as a Qunari Inquisitor.

That'd be great -- Makes replays more worthwhile. It worked stunningly with Laura Bailey's voice in Saints Row IV.

Do we have confirmation on who the second female VA is?
