Is replaying the whole trilogy still worth it to you? I am still trying to find the strength too but need a little boost or influence from some one else. Even after knowing how it all ends is it still worth it?
Mass Effect Trilogy Again?

Interesting question. Amy is stalled having just cured the genophage. What is holding her up is the N7 fighter mission, the completionist in me won't let me not do it, but the thought (and doing screenshots of it) is just... meh. Get's the same with the planet exploration and the minerals, UNC etc missions in ME.
ME2 becomes reeeallllyyyy long also.
I'm currently taking a break with a bit of old skool Skyrim (just discovering how much i had modded it previously..).

I can still play through ME3, but I've played ME2 far too much (5 or 6 times) and I was kind of done with ME1 after my second playthrough.

I have recently resumed a very old ME2 save, and it's quite fun playing again ( haven't played the ME games in over a year).
But I do find myself thinking more and more about the horrible ending (imho) and I'm not sure now if I'll finish the trilogy again.
I actually haven't played all the games that often really, ME1 I finished perhaps 4 times, ME2 two times and ME3 two times.
I've always been in favor of ME4 starring Shepard again, and knowing that won't happen, combined with the ending atrocity, does decrease the replay value.

Out of 1,000,000 threads? Why's mine depressing to do? I thought your opinion of killing everyone off was even more extreme?

All I did was link to my post of a playthrough I did over a year ago, that I've only done once, as a suggestion to replaying the trilogy.
Is your playthrough depressing?

I don't view all the series as an actual trilogy, there's just too much loss of continuity and I simply play them as 3 separate games that happen to have people with the same names. I view them as Mass Effect, The Space Adventure's of Shepard and Friends... in Space!, and Retake Earth: The Game -- with nothing more to unite them other than the fact that the later two seem to be well put together fan fictions of the first one.
Having said that I do enjoy playing the first two games simply as video games; however, by the third game the negatives (and not just those relating to the story) begin to vastly outweigh the positives and I find it simply a bore to play through, even before the ending.

What is for you a "loss of continuity"?

I decided to replay as a femshep engineer. First time eva using a different class besides soldier. Still going to make a mshep soldier due to losing me1 & me2 saves of one. Wish me luck.

Engineers are great fun... well, in ME3 they are. Dunno about the other two games.

The Cerberus flip-flopping for one.

Yeah, that flip-flop from being evil to being evil to being evil. Make your mind up, TIM!

Cerberus isn't evil. They 'supposedly' look out for humanity's best interests. Unfortunately that was not seen in ME3.

I think ME3 makes the other classes shine a bit more, but that's also because they're no longer restricted to specific weaponry. I've started to really appreciate the Soldier class in ME1. While this class cannot get biotic amps, applying throw as the bonus power does allow me to enjoy a wee bit of the Vanguard that I'm used to, especially since throw is the only power I've ever bothered to evolve (Liara and Kaidan made lift and warp unnecessary). But being able to use every weapon makes Shepard unstoppable with the insanely powerful HMWSR.

I wouldn't mind doing it at some point, but I actually don't know how willing I am to slog through ME2 again. I always enjoyed it loads, but now I don't know if I would. Going from ME3's improvements back to ME2's relatively shoddy combat might feel a bit of a chore. With ME1, the combat is flawed but at least different enough to stand on it's own without just feeling like an incomplete build of the later games, imo.
