Which one? :P

Hah, diggin the One, thinking its value isn't diminished by sharing titles with PC, thinking the industry should be uniting gamers(knowing they won't so its on us to do it ourselves), etc etc.

S'all good tho. Better to have different opinions you can bounce off somebody else every once and a while. Allows for an open mind and the consideration of another train of thought. :)

Speaking of the Xbox One, Ori will require 7.68 GB of space. Not bad. Pretty sure that'd fit on a disc for the 360 too.

Not that that matters now since MS picked up the slack and moved on to Blu-Ray(finally) for this gen and the 360 release will be later on anyway.

I can see how the the One's value isn't diminished for you because you don't play on PC. But if you had a PC that was capable of playing the same "exclusive" games that are on the One, knowing that you can play the games on an HDTV and use the Xbox One controller, and knowing that they will look and perform better, would you still buy the games on the One over the PC?

It may be a good thing for you, but I have friends who own an Xbox One who are not happy about it because, whether you recognize it or not, it does diminish the value of being part of the Xbox brand. It means owning a One and a capable PC makes little sense. Sony has the advantage here because their exclusives games really are exclusive. They may show up on the Vita at some point, but it will be years before it happens.

I can never get behind that exclusivity mentality. When a game like Ori comes along, that looks like such a labour of love, I want it to be as successful as it can be, and experienced by as many as possible.

If that means it goes to PC, sure. Go to the PS4, for all I care. It deserves as wide an audience as it can get.

It doesn't bother me whether it one ups the other consoles or not. Different strokes for diferrent folks, I guess.

Yep. I don't have the time, patience, or funds to handle having more than one platform for gaming. I wouldn't have two or three at once(tried that before with the PS2, PC, and Gamecube, GC and PC got totally underutilized due to the PS2 being legendary) but if I did, I'd still lean towards console. Just a pref. I tried the whole PC to TV thing before, it didn't really appeal to me. I just like kicking back and not going out of my way to push for the best graphics and such. I'll just take the easy route and sit in my game chair. :)

Anyway, BACK TO ORI! :P

Aye but you're thinking of the value of the game, he's thinking of the value of the console. Different argument entirely.

Anyway, we're here for the game. You caught up?

I know, and that's the point. I play a lot on my laptop, and it could probably handle Ori just fine. It doesn't bother me at all that I own both platforms, and certainly doesn't harm my opinion of either.

I'd just rather see it grow.

But yus. Was thinking of a game I should get for when I'm next back up home. Was leaning toward DA:I but **** it, it'll probably be this.

Why? The process is identical to console; plug it in, sit in big chair, enjoy playing game.

OH GOD

It just dawned on me that Lindsey Stirling, Taylor Davis, and the rest of the fantastic Youtube musician lot are gonna upload videos of themselves performing their own versions of Ori's notable songs.

I'm fangasming in my head. hahaha

The more I see of this game, the more I kinda want it on my 3DS. In 3D. Not sure why.

I could be wrong but at least critically isn't Ori and the Blind Forest the highest rated original game on current gen between both consoles?

I think I read that somewhere. If so, HEY NOW

If not, its probably in 2nd. hahaha

Actually, I'm with Prince with this one. I've tried to get into PC gaming and I just can't, I don't like it all. I'm not really sure what it is but something feels different about it, I can't relax sitting in front of a PC monitor.

Having said that, I do get why XBox One owners would be upset about sharing exclusives with PC owners whereas Wii U owners and PS4 owners get true exclusives that can't be played anywhere else. If you are a PC gamer and own a gaming quality PC, what incentive is there to own an XBox One?

Ahh yes, I expect we'll hear TB's thoughts on Ori at some point in a WTF is video.

Those are all of his thoughts right there.  :P

Actually he also said he hopes it doesn't turn out to be like Never Alone, in that its really pretty but there's just not a lot there aside from that.

Jesse Cox proceeded to condescend him and say its nothing like that, and was the best thing he'd played at *insert even name I've forgotten here*.

That's a recommendation that I'll take. Not that I needed it.

No one's said its all visuals in the reviews I've looked at, and the scores given corroborate that it has substance behind its clearly amazing art style.

So we'll see what he thinks, but the general consensus among reviewers is that the game rocks.

I just wish we could get the bloody Ori X1 controller. That looks too cool to be a one off.

*sigh*

You don't have to play on a PC monitor. You can play on a television just like you can with a console.

Aye. Its certainly safe to say it's good stuff with the opinions out so far. And I'm sure TB will at least enjoy it.

And I reeeaally  want that controller. I've been waiting on one going cheap for a while now. Then that one came up in the news and I thought it was an instant buy. Of course its a one time thing.

Why you do this Microsoft? People lap limited edition stuff up. Stop making this one off stuff, dammit!

FOR REAL. That controller is too cool. I tweeted at the official Ori twitter account saying I hope they find a way to get those controllers out for public purchase.

Me wants. Me wants it bad.

Just finished instillation about an hour ago, Ori is really fantastic. I'm going to explore much of the area as I can before moving onto the next stage.

Same. I got my first traversal ability so now I'm backtracking to pick up anything I might be able to get now that I can repeatedly jump to scale walls.

BEAUTIFUL GAME.

Suggestion- Ori runs very fast, so if you want to appreciate the scenery, slow down. The game's great and very sensitive so if you're delicate with the thumbstick, Ori walks instead of sprints and it allows you to appreciate everything in the foreground and background.

Good morning. This game can be a bit difficult at times, hahaha

Stopped early in the morning at a new enemy I'm still trying to figure out. It respawns I believe because I need to use it to open a particular thing, I just don't know how. I could be wrong though. TRIAL AND MANY ERRORS
