Game is so good.

Critics AND gamers agree. WE HAVE OURSELVES A WINNER ON OUR HANDS LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!

So happy this game turned out to be every bit as good as I hoped it would be. It lived up to the hype. YASS

Well, IS living up to the hype. I'm still playing it hahaha

Just got past the Ginso Tree section.

I haven't beaten the game yet. I'm still making my way thru it piece by piece. I want to appreciate it so I'm not marathoning it or speed running it.

Taking a relaxed pace, and it works. Sometimes I find myself in a spot where I'm like, "DAMN IT!" thinking I screwed myself with a manual save with little health, but I find a way out.

Love this game still.

I've died over 400 times and I think I'm like... 75% done, I haven't had a bad moment yet.  Frustrating, sure, but that is just from messing up jumps and what not - like that above clip, that took me a good 15-20 times to finally nail it down.

I don't know how many times I've died in game but its definitely a big number, I know that. I think I'm around 60% thru completion, I don't know. Can't remember the number.

Any reason then and not now? Doesn't really matter when someone gets it anyway since the experience is something else no matter when someone picks it up.

Way to busy at the moment with school, and I'll be picking up the new MK game as soon as I'm done my term. Still have to finish DAI too

BEHIIIIIND

But no worries. $20 later and you'll be very happy if you like platformers with a story and amazing visuals/audio.

Yeah, just wanted to know how much further you were from the end of the Ginso Tree escape. I'm trying to remember, but I believe its way out west. Middle of the map west. Try that.

Game is bloody awesome. Beautiful, melodic, difficult at times due to the need for precision, and totally worth the $20.

Get it on Xbox One or PC and either way you can do no wrong as its a wonderful must-have title for either.

Metacritic critic reviews and user reviews agree, point for point- http://www.metacriti...he-blind-forest

That mixed critic review is trash tho. WAY underrated. And the negative user reviews are the expected dumb reviews that shouldn't be counted.

From my perspective, a proper review score for Ori should be somewhere between 85-100. More so in the 90's.

I finished the game over the weekend, it has my full reccomendation.

Visually, it's the best-looking indie platformer I've seen. The enemies have a very fluid animation to them, and the world itself feels like Secret of Mana brought to Next Gen. :) They've got a nice mix of 2D and 3D set pieces that work flawlessly, I can't believe they pulled it off. A bit like Uncharted 2, they mixed gameplay and cinematics very well during certain bits.

Audio's Great, exactly what it needs to be. The difficulty of the gameplay seems a bit exaggerated - It's demanding, but it's not I Wanna Be The Guy disguised as a Studio Ghibli Simulator. :) It's the only game I know that lets you build your own checkpoints, to a certain point anyway. The controls are tight.

The Storyline feels designed like Okami. You're an ethereal superhuman being trying to bring a land back to its former glory. Not going to lie, I was teary eyes a few times. The prologue's hard to beat, but they did well.
Spoiler

It's wonderful. If you like platformer games, metroid games, and value games in general as an artistic medium, try the game.

...Or you can make the right decision and try Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare! For 3 times the price of Ori, you can experience gaming to the Next Level! Follow Guys, Kill Guys, and watch things blow up in 60 FPS. Also, Kevin Spacey.

Yeah its not ultra hard. If it was I wouldn't enjoy it. But the precision required can throw some people off I'm sure.

Hell some idiot on Metacritic's user reviews gave the game a low score just because they got stuck at the Ginso Tree Escape and couldn't be assed to beat it. *rolls eyes*

Oh and I still haven't beaten it. I'll get there though. I haven't been trying to, I'm still coming back to the game every now and again and only playing for a little bit.

The Combat's fairly easy since it's essentially auto-aiming if you're nearby, but the platforming is a very different story.

The game isn't too long, I'd say 7-8 hours if you're going straight to the end. One thing I should point out: if you're planning to discover everything in Ori, make sure to find them before...
Spoiler

I made the mistake of going in anyways to reach the end. :/ I may just replay it anyway.

For the Leveling, I found the "Blue" tree very handy compared to the others. Infinite Underwater breathing, Improved Defense, Triple Jumping, etc. "Purple" is a good idea if you're planning to 100%.

I unlocked underwater breathing before I even reached the underwater sections. I was like, "huh, why are there areas to get air? He doesn't ne...OOOOOH" hahaha
