ever costed you: a Solo, a Medi-gel, an ops pack(Fail Ops), and/or a Wave(if you die for the remainder of the wave)?

The worst thing is when the game drops frames and you're suddenly aiming at the sky getting killed.

That happened a lot today during my Drell Adept Solo on Glacier/Reapers/Gold. On the first Wave I lost 2 Meds & Ops. ;(

I will say that while the ps3 version is not exactly silky smooth, the framerate issues are grossly exaggerated.

It's not as bad, but sometimes, it happens when it is least expected, especially during Platinum matches where Frames take a dive into the lowest numbers. I noticed that playing a Geth with Hunter Mode ON can severely affect framerate when framerate gets bad. I was playing a Platinum match, and while I was trying to kill this Phantom, my frames dropped severely.

The issue is primarily suddenly dropped frames rather than a consistently low framerate like say GTA5. The Collectors however never get above 25fps and aren't worth playing at all.

They're fun to play against despite being cheating bastards! If I see two Preatorians, and I have no rockets or I just simply do not want to deal with it, I'll run my a** away from them as far as possible to avoid a freeze.

Collectors are fun but you end up soloing most waves as inexperienced players can't handle them, rage away all 3 of their gels then expect a revive while Scions loom over their corpse, I got admonished over the mic once for nuking wave 8.

Nah I don't plug my mic in ever besides other English people struggle with my accent so Americans have got no chance. The guy in question is  an idiot who feels it's necessary to declare "Score doesn't matter it's all about extraction this is a team game".

I think I know who you are talking about (initials FW ?).

On topic, a gel and an ops pack, yes, definitively. A wave too, probably...

A solo ? Hum... no, I don't think so. Frames drops in solos seem pretty rare to me.

I'm on both. But I only pay attention to my PS3 manifest.

Not sure if it's a "dropped frames" issue but I've lost/wasted tons of gear due to:  infinite "Waiting for other players", system crashes and  impossible lag.

I thought FranticWrath was quitting this game for good now that Dark Souls 2 was out.

Or at least, that's what he was screaming at the top of his lungs last time I played with him.

I agree.

And a major plus I've noticed was when turning you view from left to right, you don't have this weird motion blur BS that the X-Box version has which makes it look like it's dropping frames/pretty choppy. So on the PS3 doing this looks super smooth. .... Really loved that about the PS3 version & miss playing on it big time. If only that blasted PS3 gamepad wasn't so blasted terrible (in my opinion, please don't take offense). ... Wait, I better phone a friend to search for a proper PS3 gamepad on EBay for me...

The ps3 controller sucks that's why I use a 360 one instead.

Have only spent about 20 hours with the Xbox controller (mostly PS3 here) & I greatly prefer the PS3 one.  Perhaps it's just experience, though.  BTW -- what's a PS3 "gamepad"?  Did you mean controller?

Xbox 360 does have motion blur. I'm not entirely sure if you can turn the setting off, but it was turned off for the PS3 version because it would cause frame drops due to the fact that the U3 engine sucks on PlayStation 3, and you're not allowed to install the game data onto the HDD.
