Unfortunately, the screenshot didn't work to prove :(, but mission success! Thanks to everyone who contributed. I did go cheesy and use kroguard/geth/giant with a reegar, but decided I would not use equipment (besides the permanent martial biotics) or consumables. Actually worked only seeing non-rage red twice all game.

Try the Shadow v Cerberus . With the duration/bonus power and Geth scanner . Devices are usually the worst objective and duration cloak makes them pretty easy. Take the Talon with AP or Drill for Atlas

Will work fine for Silver.

This is exactly what I did for my first silver solo. Also on Vancouver. I seem to have a thing for that map....

The Batarian Brawler is a great character for solos of silver and gold. With his biotic charge you can hatesurf your way through a crowd and to safety almost every time. Plus, with the damage boost from the heavy melee kill, you do a bit more weapons DPS than the kroguard. Works best against geth, obviously, but does fine with others as well.

Plus you feel like a freaking badass. Seriously, there's a group of 5 mooks, and suddenly a blur zooms in from the side, smashes into one of the guys and drags him into the darkness. A moment later his screams are silenced by the crunching of a Batarian Gauntlet. A second later it happens again. Then a third time. Then a fourth.

The fifth spins to find himself face to face with you. "What are you!?" he screams in desperation.

"I am vengeance. I am the night. I am...batguard!"

I solo'd with this yesterday on Giant/Reapers/Gold. Always wanted to solo with Vorcha. This build is fun doing fire explosions with Clusterf*ck grenades, and you can use them for stagger or ragdoll, whatever makes you happy. If you're feeling like you really do want extra fitness and bit more power damage, then revamp the build to 6/6/3/5/6. Use the Reegar with Incendiary ammo for CHEESE after you're done using Flamer for more fire damage and damage stacking caused by Incendiary ammo.

This is my favorite Javelin N7 Fury build. Depending on your Javelin level, your cooldowns won't hurt you too much, and mine only level III. And I've already solo'd with this build on my first try using the same mission parameters as the above suggestion. Slap Dark Channel on everything that you're going to shoot, because DC will help with the damage boost you get with Warp Ammo when shooting a biotically primed target. It's actually better than it actually sounds. If you're feeling up for it that is.

Will work fine for Silver.

Using TC like an actual cloak is doesn't really work in solos, as the AI is programmed in such a way that if you're the only player alive, it will always know the general area you are in, regardless of if you're cloaked.

Do you like stealth gameplay? I recommend Infiltrators.

How about the Huntress? Run around, find targets and let your powers do most of the work, while figuring out how the AI moves and spawns? A geth scanner helps a lot, but you can also try to rely on your ears.

For some serious challenge try the pure melee Shadow and SS all the things. Put her up against Cerberus. Bring something against Atlas!

Duration cloak: Play with the AI mooks for fun. See how TC works. Try walking through enemy concentrations.

Bonus Power: Take your time when picking your targets.

If you really need the help, go the Scub Packs/Matrix/Shield Boost of HS or Female Turian, or Jug with Adren or Cyclonics. Or... Grenade capacity and Arc Nades/Inferno Nades/Multifrag Nades/lolClusterNades. Or... the I win Geth Trooper set for maximum Flamer dmg and press the "I win button," son. :)

Oh, and go all 6 if you can help it. Cause it has the biggest impact.  :)

If you want to L2P the game I recommend the GI. Just start on bronze and learn to solo it on multiple maps until it's easy for you. You'll be squishy still but you'll learn spawns, animations, enemy movement patterns etc. Move up to Silver after a while and run the same setup. Hunter mode will really tune you into what is happening around you. After a bit you will be able to take the training wheels off and go with less OP kits without wall hacks but I would do that to start.

I'm going to state an obvious tip, but one I think we all fail to do sometimes: Don't panic. The moment you begin to panic, sh*t will really hit the fan and you could end up potentially ruining the solo. When things get rough, run to a safe/empty part of the map, don't look back and take a few pop-shots....just run. Once your safe, let your shields recharge, stock-up on ammo, whatever you need to do to recompose yourself...then fight again.

As others have stated, use Geth Scanner. More than any other gear, geth scanner helps immensely, I mean it's legit wall-hacking....that's priceless.

Batarian Soldier vs. Reapers is actually a really easy solo.  I used the BatSol for the Zaeed challenge and ended up accidentally doing my first Silver solo in the process (with an Avenger, no less).  I also did my first Gold solo with the same setup (no Avenger, of course).  I think this is the build I used:  Batarian Soldier.  Claymore and Ballistic Blades for all the non-armored things.  Throw Inferno Grenades at the armored things.  Bust out the Acolyte to take down Banshee barriers more quickly.

If you want to up your chances for success even further, use Incendiary Ammo IV.  One Inferno Grenade + one Claymore shot will take down a Brute with that setup.  It might even take down a Banshee if you have her down to just armor.

If you take geth scanner, try a class and weapon for maxing cover piercing and shoot through the walls.

One more question I thought about: I understand on objective waves the number of enemies is unlimited until the mission is complete, but can you cap out a unit that has a wave max (eg: praetorians, geth primes, banshees, etc.) before the objective is complete? This is the one element of the wave budget I didn't fully grasp when I read cyonan's thread. Maybe that's what I get for researching at 2:00 A.M.

Praetorians have a cap on wave 3 - only 3 can spawn. If you get targets and take down 3 praetorians, the fourth is a collector trooper.

Atlases, banshees, primes are not capped on objective waves.

Dragoons have a spawn limit too. On wave 3, only 3 can spawn in total and on wave 6, the cap is 6. They're also capped on wave 7 with the limit being 6.

Thank you. This will save me from wasting time trying to remove the screamers and palm cannons. With how slow the Atlas and prime are, they don't really bother me but the banshee and phantom... -grumble stupid teleport or ninja leap on a wave 10 1234-

Also good game on reactor last night, I hated having to leave after just one match.

False. Although true for most intents and purposes. :D  ^_^

You will eventually reach a point where certain boss type enemies cease to spawn during an objective wave. You need a team of damn good killers, missile spam, or a glitched objective with unlimited time to achieve it though.

Moron here again: I thought the enemy was suppose to position themselves for firing advantage or assault you when you were detected. Is this not the case? Asking because I keep getting devices or pizza delivery objectives and the foes are camping the ez or objective and aren't responding to kiting techniques. Missile? Why bother as A.)Wave 3 silver who wants to waste a consumable at that point and B.)The spacing is just enough to make sure only 1 will be killed regardless of cobra placement.

It happens because when you deliver the first object, enemies try to approach your position which is where you drop off the objective. But certain enemies, like phantoms, marauders, rocket troopers like to camp there making the second retrieval relatively annoying.

Try to shoot them, or in their general direction from a location away from the drop-off zone so that they will try to come at you. This always works with phantoms because they are pretty aggressive. As for rocket troopers, ravagers etc. camping the drop-off zone, shoot and back pedal so that they have to continuously re-position themselves to have a line of sight on you. This will lead them away from the drop-off zone.

I like to shoot in the general direction of them to draw aggro and take cover away from the objective. For certain enemies, taking cover seems to bust up their objective camping, no idea why but once you take cover and fire a bit even the opportunistic bitches aka Marauders will generally move. Slow moving enemies like Primes, Scions may need to be rocketed though particularly possessed scions that are masters at putting clusters near a device even if they don't have line of sight.

I'm a scrub compared to the likes of say theNightSlasher whom has solo'ed plat on every single character in the game, but I do have some tips that may  help your game.

- PLAY lots of GOLD - and preferably for solo practice, play it with guys that suck. You'll have to clutch many waves all by yourself but will get a break (of sorts) after you do each round until your teammates bleed out in the following round. But, remember when you do this, don't just rush in to revive everyone without scoping the area for threats.

- Keep moving... sometimes waiting that extra second or 3 to fire a few more shots gets you killed, always be thinking about where you're going to run to  next (right hand advantage spot).

a lot of people on this thread are suggesting easy kits to use at higher difficulty, but IMO, they will not help your overall play, only mask it with OP powers and bad habits. But they will make a solo easy if that is what you truly want.

IMO, the best way to truly improve your play is to play with a well rounded kit. I would suggest

Batarian Soldier - decent mobility, moderately tanky, good with a variety of weapons

Salarian Engineer - moderately strong powers and opportunities for tech explosions, good mobility

Vanilla Asari Adept - great for setting up and detonating BEs and stasis for neutralizing mooks

It is best to work up to OP kits like the fury, paladin, and GI, that we all take for granted. That way you have an appreciation for the skills it takes to use them.

but this is just my opinion

and IMO I haven't found that soloing has a noticable effect on my pug play, because it is a totally different style of play

Join Prestacious's Themed Challenge Group and do the Silver version of the N7 Challenge Series, which is a good test of your skill as it gets progressively harder with each level and also requires the use of different maps and loadouts.

I remember I had to clutch wave 6 to 10 in RIO with Batarian soldier reaper gold (horriPUG) and i was surprise how much punishment you can get: slap a good long distance weapon (harrier/PPR), INc/AP round, some shield recharge and a good short range (wraith/pirana/reggar) and blow stuff up....
