This is, technically, the Mass Effect 3 forum, but you couldn't tell from browsing the topics here. Aside from a few discussions of general lore from the Mass Effect universe, all of the activity in this forum concerns Mass Effect 4.

It is really past time for Mass Effect 4 to have its own forum. It's been announced (although for some reason the name remains under wraps,) it's playable internally, more than halfway through its development, and you can pre-order it on Amazon UK.

Come on, BioWare--give Mass Effect 4 its own forum where we can talk aboot it.

A forum dedicated to discussing the upcoming mass effect would be nice.

But we need some actual suff to discus first. As much fun as it is to discus rumours and wild speculations I would prefer it if there at least a few confirmed facts about ME4 before a separate ME4 forum opens up.

i agree with Raizo.

Right now we don't have much to discuss as next to nothing has been released about the next game. It is all just fan speculation and rumor. I think they should wait until some concrete information has been released about the game before creating a subforum for it.

The fact that almost nothing has been released doesn't seem to be getting in the way of us talking about it though. This has become the de facto Mass Effect 4 forum, and it will be until a real forum is created for the game.

I find that most of the ME4 talk stays in the scuttlebutt portion of the ME3 forums ( which is what scuttlebutt is there for, google scuttlebutt if you don't believe me ), when it starts to consistently spread outside of scuttlebutt I think it would be time got a ME4 forum even though I would prefer it if we actually had some ME4 facts to begin with.

Creating a new forum might create expectation (and therefore disappointment) among some people that a new forum means info on the way.  Might as well just keep the speculation about the next mass effect here, since it just seems we're cycling through the same talking points anyway, and we will be until there's an offical unveiling.

A Scuttlebutt section for MEnext would be nice but I sense a wish to get DAI out of the door first before focusing any attention elsewhere.

I think the activity in this forum is a fairly clear indication that the fan attention is already here. We're--most of us--clever enough to pay attention to more than one thing at a time. Otherwise, EA would be in a world of hurt until Star Wars VII came out.

When Inquisition was announced, all we knew was that there would be a sword and maybe some rings involved. They don't have to dump a massive load of info on us just to open up a forum. A name and a logo have been enough in the past.

They might create one after the release of DAI. Or at least shortly after the release, maybe Jan 2015

I really don't remeber the date, but the DAI forum ( I think it was even called '' Dragon Age III: Inquisition '' or something like that ) also appeared before there was really any stuff to talk about. Hell, I think the only thing there was  the fact that Cullens VA did some work for DAI and the people hoped that he would be a companion.

So, I say why not?

Edit: Oh yeah, the mysterious hooded guy with the sword and the origins rings.

I suppose there could be one right now, given that the concept teaser was released recently, but we still don't know a whole lot about it though.

I think it's too early, the DA:I was only created after the game was officially announced in the BioWare Blog.

It'd make more sense to have one after official trailer (gameplay/story trailer) plus I don't see them releasing any info (unless maybe gamescom) until n7 day even very little will be shown

It seems that upcoming games only get their own subforum when they're properly announced. Bioware has only confirmed that they're working on it, we haven't yet had the big reveal with a title attached. It's just how it is, and not just with Bioware games - I see the same trend with other video game series by other developers.

And Cheviot makes a good point, too.

I think we'll get a forum for the next ME game once we get a proper trailer (teaser even) with the actual name of the game.

But yeah...this forum is no longer about Mass Effect 3 :D

Clearly Mass Effect 4 needs an official title. How long was Inquisition called Dragon Age III?

How much can they talk about Mass Effect 4 before it is "announced?" The cards that would need to be laid on the table for this conversation to move from the ME3 forum to a dedicated ME4 forum are miniscule and overdue.

I don't see how announcing the next game, including its subtitle, is either miniscule or overdue. It's not like they can just change their minds if they give it one name and then later on decide that a different name would've been better. Besides, for you to deem it 'overdue' you must have some pretty stellar insight into the game's current development. Have you bugged their offices or something? :P

When they're ready to announce it, and the timing is right, they will. Just stay patient :)

Yeah, lets make a new forum section because of a 2 minute vid in which some guys talk about their feelings.

All I want to know is whether ME4 will have online multiplayer or not.
