Both until I learn more about solas, because if I like solas more dorian is being replaced! Also if varric is a LI I might switch him out every other mission with cole, cuz I want cole in my part too.

Since solas is an expert on the fade and no doubt an important character, they are probable trying to find a quote that wont reveal too much or something like that idk.

In all seriousness, we've had a few spirits or spirit possessed companions before, but we've never had a former Tevinter magister whose intent is at least more benevolent in nature than either Danarius or Caladrius join our ranks.

So for me, Dorian it is.

On the one hand we have the terrible character Cole, but now he is written by the best BW writer - Patrick Weekes.

On the other hand we have probably the most interesting character (tevinteer, mustache !, male mage finally (anders is no male). written by least fav writer - Gaider.

Tough call, slight edge to the Dorian dude.

I read Asunder, so Cole isn't really as interesting as the new guy. I really want to learn about Dorian since he seems like a fresh perpective on Thedas. Also I always wanted to kick big with a magister.

I said Cole, because as this question is already meta-gaming, I can be a little bitter that Dorian is a male-only romance (and I've yet to complete a playthrough of a BioWare game as a male-protagonist). However, I'm sure to take Dorian more than once on my many playthroughs. @_@
