Errrghhh. You know what, forget all the choices and dilemmas in the past games we've had to make, this here is the hardest, worst Sadistic Choice Bioware has ever presented me with, ever.

In fact, my  preliminary party favorites from the list of companions available :- Varric, Blackwall, Iron Bull, Cole, Dorian, Solas and Cassandra. 

 

Yeah, I am not a big fan of Vivienne and Sera.

The reason: because Dorian seems like a typical good guy from an evil land trying to do right. And we had how many of this type of characters. Not in DA of course but in the media i believe this type of hero is quite common.
Cole is unique even for DA universe, which alone makes him interesting. And for the sake of diversity in my party i will take him over anyone else, since i prefer my parties to consist of as many different creatures/races as possible. And then imagine their stories as something like: a qunari, a spirit and a dwarf walk into a bar...
And i love that he looks so creepy, like a lost nearly-dead child.

Of course once the game will come out i might change my opinion and fall in love with Dorian's personality. But so far judging by the surface information i'll pick Cole.

Odd question, since they aren't the same class.  However, out of the two, I'd go with Dorian.  As it is, I'm considering taking Varric/Sera/me (as a rogue,) so four rogues would be overkill.

This was my first thought as well.

 

I am looking forward to trying an all-mage party at some point, so I suppose that's a vote for leaving Cole at the base.  That said though, we still don't know all that much about any of these characters, so my real answer is "we'll see".

This is silly on Bioware's part especially given they are both different classes y cant I have them both in my team...i usually mix match my teams...to see the different dynamics and banter among the companions...so most probably they will be together in the squad at one point or other..

Cole creeps me out so I'd prefer taking Dorian over him.

In my 1st play through i don't think i'll use either; However, like the other DA games I am guessing there are quests that you HAVE to take these characters on.

 

If i had to pick one over the other, sadly i couldn't they are not interesting and I will do a play through where they are in my main group. But atm my 1st group is already formed.

On my first run: Dorian - since my elfquisitor will be a rogue, too. Plus: I prefer rogue archers.

I think this is a dumb question cos they don't fill the same role, so there's no reason to not have both of them, unless you just don't like one of them. 

 

Which I currently can't make a call on just based off interviews.
