I suspect it will be one of the Mages, the emo spirit of death, or Iron Bull.

I think that if there is a 'Judas', it's going to be one we make for ourselves by doing things companions don't like.

I dont think there will be any need tbh, companions will stay or leave based on our decisions, that be enough i think

Like how Leliana and Wynne turn on you if you defile the Sacred Ashes.

You know, there are enough companions that they could do both a scripted betrayal and a player's choice determinant betrayal. I honestly wouldn't mind that; doubt most of the fandom would though.

Still think people are reading too much into things.

The fact you say you are pretty much a boy scout while your avatar is Emperor Palpatine made me chuckle.

But yes, if certain conditions are met Leliana will not attack you for it.

I think the Inquisitor himself/herself is the potential Judas. For once, the rest of the team might be fine.

I doubt Cassandra would be the one that betrays you, if any betray you at all.

She'd betray us if we're incompetent jerks who do nothing that the Inquisition stands for, in her eyes.

Hopefully it'll be unpredictable or somebody you least saw coming that betrays you.

One way or another we're going to do what's necessary to move the story forward. Alistair disagreed with you if you were evil, but he still followed you everywhere.

Yeah, but I don't think they're going to do similar things as DAO. There was a lot of compromising and peaceful solutions going on there, but I know the devs have regretted some of that (especially the Circle tower fate.. the third option). DA2 offered a chance at more polarizing situations, and I think it could happen again here. Or at least, I hope.

I have a pretty bad track record with companions.

Killed Zevran

Killed Leliana

Killed Wynne

By the time I finished DA:O, pretty much only Morrigan and Dog were on my side.

I don't think there will be the traitor character in the game, unless you personally tick off a companion to the point they want to leave like in Origins. You could fight the ones you ticked off enough and then they're gone from the party.

It'd be weird if one of them goes back stab on you, since you're all supposed to be going for the same goal and it's a more organized team compared to the previous games which where rag tag bunch vs the best of the best.

If there is a traitor within the Inquisition, I think it'd be Sera. Maybe I'm way off, but they've been calling her things like "Wild Card" and I believe that in the Inquisition line-up at the end of the trailer where they're all at the table resembles Leonardo Da Vinci's "Last Supper". The Inquisitor is in the middle, representing Jesus, and Sera is in Judas's place. Again, I maybe way off so please correct me if I am.

Shale turns on you if you try to save the Anvil

Alistair departs if you save loghian.

If they're going to do it, I hope they do a much better job of hiding it that they did with Anders. As soon as he came to me about the ingredients he needed to gather for his potion or ritual, I knew he was making a bomb. I hated the whole third act because of it. It was way too transparent.

Vivenne. I mean, come on. If anyone is surprised that an Orlesian player betrays them they should... not be. PLUS she is the only one looking at the camera in the Last Supper shot, everyone else is focusing on the Inquisitor. That must mean something, I refuse to believe they simply made the suspicious (But what is her true agenda?) Vivienne be the only one to look away, almost as if she doesn't care.

Oh, you know it works. The one who is set up to be the most suspicious is never the one who is actually the guilty party. Don't you watch mystery shows on TV?
