I'm willing to make a bro for Cass, I don't think I have it in me to play another playthrough as a dude just for Viv if she is straight only. I would have to abandon her as an LI option tbh. One male playthrough is about all I can do.

Hmmm. BioWare said the romances wouldn't be equal but that everyone would have choice. Since Solas is female elves only, a straight female human can choose between Bull and Cullen. Maybe Viv will be similar? We know Cass is straight and Josie is bi. We know Josie is ungated. So if the last gate is on a female character (Cass or Viv) one will probably replace the other.

By that I mean say for example Cass is gated against dwarves. That means a straight male dwarf only has Josie to choose from and therefore would need another female to give him choice. That would be Viv. Or Viv could be bi and gated - then Josie would be her replacement.

Of course Cullen could be the last gated character and that will throw this right out the window (because then to give people choice, Blackwall would have to be the last one). Ugh.

Eh whatever I'm going to plan a female inquisitor for Viv anyway. From what I've seen so far she is a great character (dat voice!) and if the worst comes to the worst, that will be my 'forever alone, all bad choices, angry WHY WONT YOU LOVe ME VIV inquisitor ;P

Edit: omg I just noticed there is a romance thread again. Woooooo! Now I can stop moaning about it in character threads XD!

I'm hoping she's bi, if i can't romance her with my female inquisitor i will be bummed out. I plan on romancing Solas but I want Vivienne as a LI more. I think her and a qunari inquisitor would make the cutest couple so I'm hoping she's not racegated even though it's likely she is unfortunately.

I know this is going to be an unpopular opinion, but I disagree completely... I get that you and others may be bitter, but punishing everyone because you can't have it your way is simply unfair.  Maybe I'm just weird though... I mean, I don't wish that Sera was not an LI just because she's not available to my male Dalish, even though I've been waiting for a male elven PC and female elven party member for three games... Even if it doesn't benefit me, I wouldn't want her removed from the equation entirely.

I don't recall saying I was against her being bi.  I'm against punitively removing her from the LI list because it would upset certain players.  I also would not be in favor of removing her if she were revealed to be strictly lesbian.  Do you see my point?  I don't want everyone to suffer because I do.

A bi Viv, non-gated would be the Holy Grail option tbh. I just hope they don't pull a Varric on us, well actually their scenario hurted alot more, Varric fans were waiting a long time to romance him. We don't know Vi well enough yet.
