Even the Ferelden one, which was considered tame, had Templars ready to decapitate young mages should they fail and Templars ready to lobotomise people they SUSPECTED of being Blood Mages ( because Jowan was never seen using Blood Magic ).

 

I can't see Mages and Templars being a love/love relationship.

Even Irving was scheming behind Gregoir's back and they're supposed friends.

 

Their attitudes need to change.  The scheming is only necessary to get around the suspicions of the average templar.  If they could both learn to see things differently there could be change.

Are many here planning on playing a mage Inquisitor? I don't really play mages, actually I don't play mages but looking at the improved combat in DAI mages look like a lot of fun. And seeing as Viv is pro-circle and all it would make the dynamic between the Inquisitor and her more interesting perhaps.

I could see her finding it endearing if someone in her inner circle or someone she's in a relationship with called her that. If someone she's not familiar with or an acquaintance called her that i'd think she'd roll her eyes and walk away. If someone she despised called her that I think she'd insult them & possibly throw a fireball at them too lol

Yup my first playthrough will be a Human Mage. If Viv will be confirmed as romance then she will be in competition against Josie for my Inquisitor's affection

i always roll magi cause it gives freedom to ask dumb q/a. The dynamic i assume will be her trying to get to side with her or if your pro-mage its reversed

I always play mages, my first is going be a necromancer. I think romancing viv with my anti circle mage inquisitor will be explosive in a good way hopefully lol. I want to make a queer mage power couple.

For Viv? Me! My Esmerelda Trevelyan will be much more Libertarian than Viv though. My main Inquisitor will be rogue and she'll definitely support Viv's pro-Circle attitudes.

I'll be playing as a warrior first, but eventually I'll probably create a mage.  On my first character, I plan to be pretty neutral towards the mages and templars, so if Vivienne is that char's LI, he'll just do whatever she thinks is best.

Actually, I prefer to keep them at a distance and snipe them with a crossbow. I'll probably try a mage once and see how it feels. I like the lore around mages, just not the mechanics (as a rule)

See I had great intentions of playing as an archer rogue for my first run but seeing as Sera will fill that role I'll have to go back to my comfy shoes, duel weapon instead.
