I do not have the link (I never save them, dang) but there was a humorous conversation between devs. Someone joked about some people thinking there would be no romance content and both Patrick and Mary answered in a style "that, oh no, it was a joke? Oops, gotta rewrite it all then"

The extra 6 weeks was great in terms of polishing the game. From marketing standpoint it was probably bad news. They don't have anything left without spoiling more of the story.
