Shepard could be really creepy if you picked the wrong (right?) dialogue choices. I hope if the Quizzie says similar things to Viv she'll call them out on it. All of Shepard's companions just shrugged it off, laughed nervously, or flirted back, but I don't recall ever getting a team member telling Shepard how creepy they were being. I think Viv could do it.

This may be the initial sting of the announcement talking, but I'd rather NOT have flirt options with her at all if she's not romanceable. I don't know if I'd be able to complete a single playthrough if I got teased like that.

 

Maybe I should take it out on Thedas. I do have my old D&D character Bratok who'd be perfect for that. All I have to do is get my old favorite, the Blood Mage spec, and....DAMN IT, I CAN'T WIN.

Kind of. I imagine it wouldn't have been quite so bad if Mass Effect 2 didn't treat Samara and Shepard's relationship so...awkwardly.

 

I thought Samara had the best written romance path in ME2, despite it ending with her shooting Shepard down. "In another time...another life."

As for this talk of chaste romance, fake romance, and flirting... I'll pass on all of that, thanks.  Aveline and Samara were no fun for me the first time, and afterwards I totally avoided those dialogue options and preemptively friend-zoned them both.    Now that I'm going into the game knowing full well that Vivienne can't be romanced, there is no reason at all for me to attempt such a thing.  Flirting with someone when you know you are going to be turned down sounds kind of pointless.  Maybe some people enjoy rejection?  I've heard stranger things...

im a hrrible tease in RL both to all genders to some its just a reaction but for some like me its just a playful way to show familiarity with friends.

Actually I just checked the wiki and it says there is a glitch that can prevent this from happening... I think that must have been the case in my game because I've never seen this even at max friendship.

perhaps shes trying to consolidate power so she can rule the circles or at least keep herself in very high standing on par with the divine

I think it might be a split from the Chantry so the Circles could wield greater political power and get their voices heard by the Thedosian leaders, while still preventing a Tevinter mageocracy from happening and promoting proper use for magic. And the War obviously undermines these plans. With free mages committing atrocities, few non-mages would now support such a system.
