Feel your pain. I just like to think she's special and now quite keen to discover the reason (Allan mentioned its part of the plot) she is not a LI.

I honestly hope she's in a serious relationship or asexual or something like that. I always advocate for non-romancable party members to get or be married because I like the idea that they're happily in a relationship, but I'm also for a larger inclusion of sexualities. If her reason for not be romancable is that she's too ambitious for romance, I'm going to be so pissed.

People in the romance thread were complaining about the possibility of Vivienne being married being too common, so I came up with an idea along those lines... it actually makes sense that Vivienne could be asexual, but also disinterested in emotional intimacy based on her ego-centric personality.  This would be a unique, logical, and non-stereotypical reason for her to be unavailable as an LI.  If it never comes up in conversation during DA:I, that's going to be my head canon anyway...

I think they said that there aren't any canonically asexual characters in this game, though.  But maybe if it's just not brought up, she can be headcanoned as ace.

Ahaha I dunno my Inquisitor would have a pretty fragile ego, such an encounter might just tip her over the edge.  That rejection dialogue would be pretty legendary though once you get past the emotionally devastating impact it would have on your PC.

If it helps any, with the existing romances, you can skip the sex scene in some of them, which will be good for asexual players.  It's not ace representation, but it's something.

Oh, well... I'm aro-ace, and I was just hoping there might be someone like that... But it's whatever, really. I have no doubt in my mind that we can have a complex, awesome friendship with Vivienne. I'm really looking forward to it! Thank you for the consideration, though!

Hm... I know that she dislikes Cole, but who else would she be using this on?  Unless maybe she makes fun of her friends too.  I'd be cool with that if a "clever" Inquisitor can toss a zinger her way as well.  Hopefully the dialogue tree allows for some back and forth teasing.

 

Dorian is supposedly witty and the two of them may have dissimilar views on magic, so perhaps they will engage in some verbal sparring?  Varric is pretty snarky as well.  I bet he'd be a match for Vivienne.
