Thanks. Thats me sorted for the day ... Somes gotta say it .. toe or part of the outfit?

That's always the risk when you force a thigh gap and make your center seam prominent. Like this art is great except for her legs being weirdly tubular, because legs and fat deposits don't work that way but culture says you've got to have the thigh gap.

Forgot I had this gif of Vivienne! Don't think it's been shared, but if it has...it's great so I'm sharing it again!
(Bad quality due to it being from the PAX demo)

I'm not sure.  Iron Bull and Cassandra bond over 'talking shop' after battles and they are both warrior-types.

My inclination is to say 'no'.

Well we know they get along at least, from IB's profile.

[DA]: How does he get along with his fellow companions?

[PW]: The Iron Bull is a relaxed, friendly guy who gets along with just about everyone. He loves talking shop with Cassandra after battles, for example, although he’s a lot more enthusiastic about chopping people in half than Cassandra is. He also gets along surprisingly well with Vivienne, who keeps him in line when he gets too boisterous.

Thought I would contribute something to the thread hope everyone enjoys it :)

Vivienne/Iron Bull banter:

Vivienne: So Iron Bull I heard your people contain your mages on a most extreme level.

Iron Bull: Uh yeah I guess we do. But don't worry! We feed them and everything just like every other Qunari.

Vivienne: So what happens if one tries to escape?

Iron Bull: Well you see Vivienne. We find out where they went, and we wait until they are at a tavern we get them really drunk and then we put them in the ugliest clothes possible. We then send them back to Par Vollen, tie them up and let everyone mock them for their horrible choice of style.

Vivienne: Glad I am not one of your people then. I do not know what I would do if I were seen in such a way!

Edit: Also this from one of my posts in the Solas thread:

The mage trio Solas/Dorian/Vivienne

Dorian: So my not as dashing pointy-eared friend I must know how you are able to manipulate fade rifts.

Solas: Why is it you point towards my appearance whenever Vivienne is around? I would take your questions more seriously if you did not.

Vivienne: Well to be honest your clothes could be much better darling. I admit that cannot stand to be around such a walking mockery of fashion, but the Inquisition cannot do this without me so I must deal with it.

Dorian: Solas if you want us to stop mocking your appearance, we could go get you some clothes to go with that fur coat and a wig for that boring spot on top of your head.

Solas: *sigh* Why do I even bother?

Who knows, maybe with her horn-like hats and no nonsense personality she reminds him of the female qunari, who likely served similar roles in his life.

Oh yea... good (naughty) eye.

Normally I'm totally caught up in Viv's awesome cheekbones, so ... this is pretty atypical.

Did I mention that I somewhat hope she's an LI?

Or maybe it's Vivienne's magic that makes him get along with her. Figuratively and literally!

"Take it from me Cole, circle mages just don't understand." So that's going to be part of Solas' bent? Alrighty.

I'm open to the idea of good spirits, like Wynne's spirit for example, but I may have to snicker along with Vivienne a bit at his sentiments. It kind of comes across that he downplays the dangers of the Fade to talk up its highlights - and being a self-taught, hedge mage, fade explorer - its likely pure luck he didn't become skin wrap for a Pride Demon on an early trip to the other side.

Conservative, circle trained Vivienne emphasizes the bad about the Fade, and Solas emphasizes the good and brings a little knowledge to the subject.

"Safety first, but havin' some chill in the Fade won't kill you!" That's probably what should be taught in the Circles, hmm?

So, who here thinks that Vivienne could be brought around to a more open-minded perspective?

Given what we're read about Viv, on what perspective are we talking about? Class? Mages? Social ladder climbing? Fashion?

Mages and magic, for the most part, but social class and very possibly race (the odds of Vivienne not being racist strike me as depressingly low) are in there too.

Meh, I doubt Viv's racist...except maybe against Qunari due to the whole Sarebaas thing.

It seems probable that she's racist against elves and makes "individual exceptions" for certain elf mages who happen to impress her. I get the very strong feeling that she's the sort of person to blame the poor for their own poverty, with that extending to the vast majority of elves.

Well, she is a circle mage and the circle doesn't treat elves differently. That said she also socialises with the Orlesian nobility and they most certainly do treat elves differently.

I don't think the info about her interactions with Solas and Sera can really tell us much about that though. They seem to be based on personality clashes, political differences and fashion not on race.

As for Dwarves and Qunari, she seems fine with IB and idk why she would be against Dwarves. She might object to the Qun but that wouldn't be racism.

Touche. You have a point. Granted, I think she'd make exceptions for any person of power (outside the Qun) that can impress her, not just mages.

Considering the player can side with the mages early on, Vivienne's (apparent) support of the Chantry controlled Circles is likely to become a moot point. While it may not address the fate of mages in the Anderfels, Nevarra, the Free Marches, or Rivain, a regional victory seems to be within the grasp of the protagonist, and it's likely Vivienne would have to adapt to a future of mage autonomy in this region.

Personality clashes frequently bring out racism that might otherwise be hidden. I shall watch carefully.

Probably. I ask mostly because I still find her more attractive than I should and wonder what romancing her would be like.

As long as she's amenable to fixing the problems of the old system, I think she and I will get along nicely. And to be honest, I don't think we will achieve much more than regional change in Orlais and Ferelden during DAI.

Do we have anything that actually tells us why Vivienne is pro Circle? Obviously she doesn't want to be caged and sexually assaulted, so it can only be that it would mean a loss of power and standing for mages in her position, no?

If the mages win, I'd wager she'd Tywin Lannister the whole affair - immediately side with the mages and find something she could do to make a big show of loyalty and secure her position, leveraging her political knowhow/standing/esteem for a position in some new mage order.

More attractive than you should? You mean, because of her personality?
