I was upset, but it doesn't change the fact that so far she seems like the most interesting character and has permanent spot in my party.

Personally, I find nothing at all that draws me to her anymore, as I find her highly unpleasant personally and her political opinions clash with mine. I though that a romance arc would lead to a surprising and gratifying curveball of some kind, but apparently not.

Well I for one am looking forward to the conflict of my PC mage and her views on the Circle system. It should prove very entertaining but I prefer rivalries from certain characters over blind devotion or agreement.

That's fair enough. I'll admit that she's clearly not going to appeal to everyone, and I can already see more than a few people outright hating her. A romance arc would probably help remedy some of that, among other things.

yes. this was the main reason for me but it says a lot that once she wasn't a romance option, the scatter ocurred. I could read into that further but I will not. I also do not know of this personality I keep reading about. I literally still don't know anymore about her beyond she's pro-Circle. That can be intepreted a number of ways.

Well, I still like Vivienne, but I rarely post in character threads to begin with... there's not much I can say about any of them until the game is released.  I expect that to change once I've played DA:I and experienced her character and storyline first hand, though...
