As someone who is used to defending their favorite character (Ashley from ME) against scores of haters I'll be completely honest and say I'm looking forward to it.Sadly, I'm not expecting it to be for the most positive reasons. I forsee either big arguements or just a lot of hate, (probably both).
Vivienne is still my favourite character in Inquisition post-release. I doubt that'll change.

That would be unfortunate... well, so long as she doesn't flat out betray the Inquisition (which I highly doubt will be the case), I'll likely be here to help defend her.

See, I dislike a lot of fictional characters, especially in DA. So I can understand how others might feel the same about my favorites.
I think she's physically beautiful, but that whole Orlesian "game" mentality... *ugh* I can't imagine much that's less appealing to me personally. If I don't like her, that'll most likely be why, but I'll reserve judgement until I know her better. DA characters are usually pretty deep, so there may well still be something to like about her even if she annoys me in other ways.
I still love Viv a lot and I'm not looking forward to all the hate she probably will get for whatever reason but it is what it is. I'm just going to enjoy her character and tune out the negativity.

I'm the complete opposite if it wasn't for 'the game' I'm pretty sure I would be completely indifferent to Orlais. I love the intrigue and the underhanded politics it's one of the reasons I love the stuff that goes down in King's Landing in the Song of Ice and Fire series.
I'm just expecting her to be DAI's Marmite companion. She's already pretty divisive as it is.
