I'd take Cersei as a lover. But then, that would be true of all the four main Lannisters. (Cersei's the preference though)

An ambitious political schemer and manipulator would be something fresh for the DA series.

I should perhaps clarify: Although I am far from sure whether I will like Vivienne as a character, that does not mean that I will think that she's a character that shouldn't be in the story. Two very different things. I'm actually hoping that she'll be a "love to hate" type person.

Hope so, Vivienne and Cole seem to be appearing less on videos recently. Unless they are recruited far in game.

Yeah it's like Bioware is making up for the fact that Cole was featured in a book and Viv was one of the first companions revealed. I'm hoping we'll see Cole, Vivienne, Sera and Blackwall.

Is this another gameplay demo or are they doing character profiles?  If they are going to show us another area in the game, I guess Vivienne might be a part of that... even if she's one of the companions we don't get until much later, it's not like they couldn't just doctor the game to unlock whoever they want to showcase.  They created it, after all...

It's a Skyhold and Companion stream so my guess is they might be walking around the skyhold and will talk to companions in a way that isn't overly spoilery

She has a post-combat line about a group of Templars sullying the name of their order in one of the Twitch demos, and I heard that she spoke in a recent trailer, but I haven't seen it for myself.

So Vivienne's pro circle stance seems to not just be about personal power as I suspected. She believes that what with all the damage mages (like anders) have done they are more feared them ever before and freedom would mean entering into a world where they are feared and hated by everyone.
