I like that there's a "Talk about our friends" option on her dialogue wheel. I'm a sucker for gossip.
I totally missed that!
Me and Viv gunna talk about boys while we paint each others toenails.

Actually Vivienne is officially the First Enchanter of Montsimmard.
Thanks for that clarification! Appreciate it!
Didn't notice that might be good to get it out early so it doesn't hurt as much after I've spent countless hours getting to know herAnyone notice another option on her wheel says "Any chance we might..."
Guess you can find out why she's not a romance option fairly quickly. Not that that I think they needed to explain but that's neither here nor there.
If the templars were still working for the Chantry, that might have been the case... but they're not. The Templar Order has no authority over mages itself; that's entirely the Chantry before secession.
Right... you disapproved of the Templars doing their jobs long before they broke off from the Chantry, so you don't get to use that argument now. Either you respect the Chantry and Templars' authority over mages, or you don't. You can't have it both ways now that the Templars have essentially become vigilantes to take control of a situation that has gotten way out of hand.
I honestly hate having flirt options if there isn't a romance arc. Don't need to know why Vivi's not into me.
No problem Kyno!
Btw does anyone have a link to, or know when Vivienne makes the comment about the Templars? If you can give the time stamp of the video or the link (or both) it would be appreciated. I've tried looking for it, but can't seem to find it.
ive notice everytime xil arrives theres a MT or Morality debate. I love hearing them but not in my barrofl that's true... I didn't expect it to start before the game's release though...
Interesting... a lot of people were hoping to flirt with her, so this might be their chance. I'll just be reading about the results on the forum though... xD

Oh, their jobs are horrible and the mages' cause would be no less legitimate if they still were working for the Chantry. But you allegedly did respect the Chantry somehow, so what I'm saying is that the templars no longer possess any kind of high ground by either of our standards.
This used to be a safe thread... away from the fighting... now my bar is getting trashed
Ironic how we had a talk about defending viv last week XD
Hahahahahaha! Your thread is safe no more for it will soon be consumed by FLAMES. ![]()

There is actually none. That other guy just came and draw conclusions far from what Vivienne was heard saying the stream gameplay.
^I see. But does anyone have a time stamp from when she allegedly says it? I have the video downloaded but its pretty difficult to find.

Hawke was a vigilante. A lot of heroes in this franchise have been. I respect anyone willing to bring peace and order to the world, regardless of whether they have official sanction. The fact that the Templars consist entirely of former law enforcement officers who decided to act in service of the greater good in response to a crisis that needed an immediate solution only strengthens their cause in my eyes. The longer the mages were allowed to remain free of the Circles, the higher the chance that some of them would never be found. Preventing abominations from devastating populated areas is one of the highest priorities for any Templar, and so I don't begrudge them for not wanting to sit around and wait to be given the okay to fulfill their sacred duty.

^Oh sorry should have specified. I'm not talking about the video when she was speaking with the inquisitor. I believe it was a gameplay demo in the "dark roads" area. They Vivienne makes a comment about the red templars (Or allegedly makes a statement)
What Vivienne said today in the livestream, for those unaware.
Inquisitor: Tell me about the Circle of Magi.
Vivienne: Of course. Tell me what you wish to know.
Inquisitor: How did we come to this state, with the Circles in revolt?
Vivienne: You, my dear, are far too wise to have not realized that many of our colleagues live with their eyes closed. Safe inside their towers, they only thought of the Templars and their own resentment. Kirkwall gave the world a reason to remember its fear of magic. A mage killed hundreds with a snap of their fingers. Across Thedas, a new tangible fear of magic grew. Commoners and nobles alike called out to the Chantry for protection. But the malcontents in the towers thought nothing of this. They cared only for themselves and their anger at the new Templar restrictions. When a mage attempted to assassinate Divine Justinia, again, the mages protested the investigation. The leadership chose to vote on independence based on the intolerable conditions imposed by the Templars, sparing no thought to the fact that magic was more feared in the aftermath of these attacks than it had been since Tevinter's day. So long as they have their freedom, they could care little for riots or angry mobs or pitting mages against each other.

If i make a female mage i would like to steal her clothes. This outfit is by far the best mage armor/robe i have seen in the whole da series. Oh and i would definitely talk to her often and learn her hopes and agenda.

She says something along the lines of 'These Renegades sully the name of the templars'' although I don't know if they're Red Templars, or, as she says, Renegades.

I think she was referring the Rebel Templars
