Eh, she'll never match Anders' fire or Merrill's love. But I'll continue trying to figure out where the mystique is.
Oh I see, did you enjoy the game? Please don't post any spoilers (obviously) but was each character well written?

Ah, so much blasphemous pictures since I've been asleep! Poor Vivienne...
Still though, the customisation looks really deep. I was really impressed with it and that's saying a lot.

Yes, this is definitely the first time I've ever been excited for crafting in a game.Still though, the customisation looks really deep. I was really impressed with it and that's saying a lot.
Still, the universal helmets on/off kinda saddened me. I know I'll only ever be giving a select few companions, (Vivienne included of course), headgear. Again

Madame Fancypants > Madame Vivienne

Same. A bit disappointing but I'll deal with it.

Btw, what kind of mage is she? I mean specializations like Knight enchanter, Rift mage and Necromancer. I saw some images of her in custom armor and she appears to have much more armored versions of armors than PC-mage does. Does it mean that she's a battle mage? I can't think of her being on the frontlines and making a hit. She's more like range attacking by me.
We are trying to find out what kind of mage (in combat) she really is. I don't see KE on her either, yet in any video we have any footage of her specialization in combat. And she is indeed the only "most armored/plated mage" shown in this game.

i think of it like this: a person with a PH.D or any other doctorate worked hard to get it. Some are humble about it others want to be known by their title as a sign of recognition of their acheivement. Could viv been cool about it? Yes probably but thats her character.... besides i like snarky/mean women lol
Exactly, Vivienne's got a right to want her accompishment to be recognised. I think it was said somewhere that she was originally hired simply to perform magic tricks for the noble's amusement, as if she were a common jester, but she ended up using her presence in court to impress enough people that she ended up gaining some actual power. For a mage, that's a huge deal!
In the immortal words of Dr Evil;
"It's Doctor Evil. I didn't spend six years in Evil Medical School to be called "Mister", thank you very much!"

She's the KE, as Solas as Rift Mage and Dorian is Necromancer. Note, she also has the Resurgence Healing Spelll.
Here are some of the spells she will have access to:

Viv is most likely KE. Which is humorous to me cause while she is calm and a moderate i assumed she would be ranged, but apparently prefers to make her points.. in person
Well she isn't that calm or moderate compare to Solas and Dorian. She seems more.. pragmatic or hard-headed really.

But yeah her title was cpurt jester in practice so it is a huge achievement and shows life for magi can be good under X parameters

About The outfits, I'm glad there's variety in the look. If I won't put everyone in Inquisition armours and outfits (curious to see how The mage one will look), I might put her in an armour.
I'm leaning towards using something more heavy armor-y looking for her since KE is a front-line mage/fighter.
Just no yellow/plaid pattern.

Yeah, I think I'll be keeping her mostly in the outfit we've most often seen her in. More so if I decide to really delve into her KE tree.I'm leaning towards using something more heavy armor-y looking for her since KE is a front-line mage/fighter.

How could you even think of forcing her into those RAGS. All the while knowing that she is SUFFERING.
No. This simply will not do.
Her beauty shines through even the most abominable rags. However, to soothe your rage, this fabric looked killer on her and she shall wear it always

Just to add to this. If you read through "The World of Thedas: Volume 1" it outlines the hierarchy of the Orlesian Empire. Vivienne has achieved the rank of Lady, which is officially addressed as "Madame du..." Vivienne as we know is Madame du Fer. Quoted from the same the title is "Acceptable address for any nobility, no matter the rank, but not royalty"
Considering that she is a mage and though we can't be sure until the game is played, not Orlesian nobility as I believe she was born in the free marshes it is quite the accomplishment. If you want further insight as to Orlesian politics you should give The Masked Empire a read. I can't wait to delve deeper into her character!
