Question about the quest: "Bring me the Heart of Snow White". I think there MIGHT be a glitch?

So, Vivienne gives us the quest to bring the heart of a snowy wyvern. There's also the option to deceive her with the heart of a regular one. I got both, but I chose to give her the real one. However, she goes to her ill lover, Duke Bastien, and gives him a potion, and he dies anyway. This seems....odd. I'm wondering if the game confuses whether I've given her the proper heart or the fake one, because it just seems like it was designed for there to be an option to save Duke Bastien. Does anyone know? Has anyone managed to rescue him?

Somewhat off topic since it isn't story related but I think you guys might be the ones who know best: How good is the AI at using Viv as a Melee Knight Enchanter?

If you spec her right her barrier will very rarely fall to put her in danger, she is pretty much a tank.

 

Does anyone get a motherly vibe from Viv when you talk to her i feel like she has mix of Wynne and Morrigan the way she talks to my Inquisitor?   

Absolutely. She also has some banter with Bull about him not cleaning his sword after battle, which killed me.

Viv is really digging my Inquisitor she told him to try harder when i went to the romance dialogue thing funny maybe because he is a Knight Enchanter like her or cause he is a Mage i don't know but i am loving it lol oh yeah i know she is not a romance but it is fun getting new dialogue with her in the romance option icon

I absolutely ADORE Vivienne.  She's one of the best characters in any DA game, in my opinion.  I just love her confidence.  Every time she calls me, 'my dear', I just melt a bit.  I love that they included a character like her.  She's really just a brilliantly written character.  Who wrote her?  Mary? 

 

I love that she's kind of my giant qunari warrior's BFF.  I always ask her advice if it gives the choice and I completed her companion quest, no questions asked.  Whatever Madame needs, my Inquisitor is happy to oblige.  Her dialogue with me after completing that questline was just fantastic.  She's a very realistic character.  Just top notch.

 

Also, she's a total badass in the field.  I bring her with me on every single dragon hunt because homegirl brings it everytime.  She's a boss.

Seriously, Bull, Cassandra and then my Inquisitor all died really quickly and Vivienne was just hacking and slashing away taking absolutely no damage because her barriers were just too good.

I took on my first dragon (in the Hinterlands) right after she got her specialization and I had a moment in action mode where I was like, "Wait, NO!  Vivienne, what are you doing?!?  Get out of there!"  And then she held her ground, slashing away and taking very little damage.  In that first battle, I had her, Bull, Varric, and my two-handed champion.  Everyone died at least once.  Everyone, that is, except for Vivienne.

In my playthrough, she asked me to get the heart of a white wyvern from the Exalted Plains.  When I did, I had the option to give her either a fake one or the actual one.  I gave her the actual one without demanding to know why.  Then, after she made the elixir, she took me to see her dying lover.  He died while she was talking to him and I offered my sympathies to her.  When we got back to Skyhold, I spoke to her again and she told me a story about how she met him at a Ball in her youth and that it was love at first site.  Then she got choked up and ended the conversation because she had to take care of funeral arrangements.  I offered her my assistance with that, if she needed it.  She declined, but thanked me.  Then she gave me a new throne for Skyhold.  It was really well written and solidified her as my Inquisitor's secret BFF.  Don't tell Dorian.

Heh, Viv seems to hate my Inquisitor. I found it strange that I got to do her sidequest, but maybe it was just to use him and gloat about it after.  Or the palace ball redeemed him somewhat in her eyes. But really, she is ****** vicious in my playthrough.

I don't see why it should matter. She explains how unimportant he is. But saying you don't care is by far the best option, (objectively so). You get to watch Vivienne tear him to pieces like she did Mary Kirby.

Same here, haven't done the personal quest or ball yet but so far, Vivienne hates my Inquistor. Personally I love her though.

Vivienne's breasts are huge, please make her a new romance and completely full body "nude" sexual encounter option somehow in a new official expansion pack DLC add on package BioWare / EA, we the players must be able to get this in DA: I!!!

Gosh, Bioware, why do you tease like this? Lol! Why do you have Vivienne so appealing and interesting and we cannot romance her? Why do you have the flirt option to tease like this? Lol! I just added the lovely Vivienne to my party. I selected her skills  to be the deadly Enchantress, er the Enchanter [grinning] (A powerful Archmage in my poem: "The Inquisition" ) that she is.

 

She is simply sexy... a force to reckon with; my playable character: female Qunari, two-handed warrior Inquisitor, is not dying as she did before and the damage she is now taking is minimal. My party comprises of the lovely Vivienne, the optimist Solas (I am enjoying his wolrdview on  things very much), the fearsome warrior Cassandra (I am trying to learn more about her. She seems interesting) and my character.  I find myself controlling Vivienne more, lol.  Bioware, you devil of a teaser you! Vivienne rocks!

I had to dig to find this thread....such an outrage. I didn't know what to think of Viv at first but her interactions with Bull completely won me over. She also shares my opinion of mages so that's a plus. That lady is keeper and it helps that she's a complete boss in the field. Sorry Solas but you've been replaced.
