It should also be noted that (1) there is a bug where decisions/dialogue that are supposed to subtract 1 or 5 points from Leliana's election to Divine actually add 1 or 5 points instead, and (2) Leliana has far more opportunities for point accumulation than Viv and Cass (just take a peek at the Divine Election wiki page some time).

So in your world, it's the children who get **** done?
More like, who view in black and white the issue of personal freedom vs. safety for the whole, instead of shades of grey.
Leliana is such a massive idealist, as younger folks are wont to be.

Question for you guys, what color do you choose for her when you tint he armour? I Know some people like the look she has when we first meet her, but I really like her in red.
Since she is Divine in my playthrough, I like her in white clothes.

I usually stick with blues but then blue is my favorite colour, so it's not really anything to do with her original look so much. ![]()

Red as well.

Currently went with red, she is focusing on the fire tree and looks totally in sync with her explosive magic! Lovin' it.

I try to put her in something that's tier 3 cloth everytime. Since that's the most expensive type of cloth, it seems fitting. With regard to which Tier 3 cloth, I've mixed it up with her though. I think it's appropriate since she strikes me as a 'fashion plate' and would likely have different outfits.
I also usually only put her in the 'boob window' outfit or the one that is similar but has a striped top to it. I don't think that her other look (which is greyish and like a tunic) seems to fit her well. Plus, I kind of like the fact that the most powerful mage armor you can craft is the latter. To me, it's within character for her to choose a fashionable, yet less effective armor for battle. So, at the end of the game, all of my mages have 253 rated armor except for her because I see her rejecting the unattractive outfit and still owning like a boss on the battlefield.

I definitely think Vivienne is the 'secret' option, for lack of a better word. As well as my favourite candidate.

I never liked the high leveled armors on Viviene, It lwas overstylized and off-putting. Her default armor was much better looking.

Leliana has to be almost forty. I think she's older than Vivienne, and nearly as old as Cassandra. In any case, Leliana doesn't jeopardize the safety of the whole.

I agree with Leliana being at or near 40. But she may not be older than Vivienne.
There are hints in the game that Vivienne is older than she looks. The Nightmare demon comments on it, and it was implied that she is using magical means to make herself appear younger. Also Duke Bastien de Ghislain appeared much older than her. By itself the apparent age difference between them might not mean much, as it is also possible that she could have been involved with an older man. But when you combine it with the hints in the game that she's using magic to make herself look younger, it might suggest that they are of a similar age.
It is possible that Vivienne could be the oldest member of the team.

Isn't that blood magic? The anti-aging stuff that was alluded to in DAO all seemed to involve blood magic (Avernus, and Senior Enchanter Sweeney when he said that magic to alleviate the ailments of aging was "not any magic I'd be caught doing").

I think people read to much into it. To its just a touchy subject, try to ask the age of a woman and her response will not be much different.I agree with Leliana being at or near 40. But she may not be older than Vivienne.

The oldest member is clearly either Solas or Cole.

It's Bioware's middle name.
EDIT: Although blood magic is a rather broad term so Vivienne's stuff might actually apply since it uses a snowy wyvern's heart (lot of blood), though she would probably consider it "sanctioned magic" and perfectly fine.
To that I'd say so are phylacteries, but they're blood magic as well.

The Nightmare demon outright implies that Vivienne is older though. There's no reason to think it was lying considering the other bombs it drops. It also hints at Blackwall's true identity for example. The taunts all have an element of truth to them.

I just always interpreted that as her being keenly aware of the fact that she's not as young as she used to be. After all, irrelevance is her greatest fear and we all know that the older a woman gets, the more irrelevant most societies view her. Orlais seems like exactly the type of society to be fascinated with youth and beauty.
Plus, the game files explain that the reverse aging formula was for Bastien, not Vivienne. The idea that she was older than she appeared and was using magic to reverse her aging was putting two and two together and coming up with six. There's absolutely ZERO evidence that she uses blood magic or an anti-aging potion on herself.

Agreed.
I honestly think peeps are reading a little too much into all this. There's literally nothing to suggest that Viv is actively using magic (much less blood magic) to control her aging. The Nightmare demon is as good a source as a drunk bartender; there's some truth to what it says, but I doubt it's meant to be taken seriously.

I don't know. On the face of it, it seems like a strange statement to make, especially when it's talking about power in the Circle; after all, most First Enchanters are old, older than Vivienne appears to be. I also find it interesting that Vivienne is the second most rattled one by the Nightmare's comments, after Sera; there's definitely an indication that the Nightmare said something significant and truthful, at least in Vivienne's own mind, that she didn't expect it to. It may or may not mean that she's using blood magic to alter her aging process, but I don't think it's as insignificant as you say.

She already WAS First Enchanter at a young age. She gains nothing from getting older. The only position left for her is Grand Enchanter, the last of which was Fiona, who is middle-aged. She's a vain woman. That's what the demon was tapping into. Not blood magic.

It's absolutely ridiculous that your take-away from that comment is that she's using blood magic. Seriously.

Then the Nightmare's comment should have had no effect on her, but instead she harshly and somewhat shakily murmurs "Not one word." It's completely different from her aura of haughty disdain for all of her other enemies, and I'm very intrigued as to why that is. Either she's notably older than she's let on, or it has something to do with the Circle, like... perhaps she doesn't actually hold the First Enchanter title anymore or command the loyalty of any Circle mages in particular (which would match up with the fact that we never see any of them even if Vivienne is recruited).
