Back to Viv, I know every outfit will transform to suit the wearer but what if we find some sort of peasants rag type thing. If we put it on her will it become a fashionable version or just... Explode?

You know, if it makes you feel better, you could think of Vivienne as having a somewhat racially mixed background and gotten the blue eyes from somewhere else. Or, perhaps, certain genetic characteristics on Thedas are not identical to those on Earth.

In a game with horned giants, subterranean midgets and pointy-earred second-class citizens, you would have thought that people would be more accepting of such minor traits as blue eyes with dark skin.
Or maybe it was a graphical mistake and her eyes will be brown in the finished product :v

I think it is meant to be the new Haste. It uses up some global party resource called 'focus', IIRC.

It is not Vivienne's spell actually. It is a party spell and requires a different resource altogether. Laidlaw mentions this in one of the interviews. This is a focus based spell and you can use it only you have accumulated enough focus.
So it looks to be a party ultimate spell of sorts.

I'm far too lazy to find it, sorry. But if I had to make a comparison, her hair was very much like Jack's for ME2.

Acceptance isn't really the point and I have seen people argue that black people should be excluded from DA entirely with logic like that.

It's possible but I can see why people would be a bit peeved if they have changed it, she had brown eyes before and then they decided to change it to blue, it would just seem a bit odd. I don't really mind that much personally but I liked the brown better.

Vivienne is obviously an acquired taste.
