Beat Trespasser recently and the spa scene was glorious, Sera was hilarious and I love the fact that per usual Vivienne ignored her antics.

I wish one of the writers swallowed their "pride" and made Vivienne a romantic interest @ Trespasser DLC, she is the perfect character and a hell of a good romantic story.

To be fair, there's a certain irony in the black person being one of the standard-bearers for institutionalized oppression.

Admittedly I was disappointed at first for her not being a romance, then as I got through the game it made sense why and imo worked out better for her not being an LI. I do wish we could have gotten a few scenes with her and Bastion interacting in Val leading up to his death. Bastion sounded like an alright person and for Vivienne to come to love him made me want to see more of him.

I think the writers put the Duke as a love interest to not make Vivienne a LI on purpose. They're not slick.

I'm not bothered, I greatly preferred the way romances were handled in DAI than DA2. Everyone doesn't need to be an option. DA2 felt....weird I guess. Romances were more powerful this time around imo.

Me personally I think what they did is shitty for not to have Vivienne as a LI I mean come on! She's wifey material! She's the kind of woman who will have your back, and crushes your enemies but smile in their face about it. Who would say no to her?!

I doubt Vivienne's Bastien storyline was added just to stop her from being romancable. Her relationship with one of the most powerful nobles in all of Orlais is part of the reason she secured her position in court. And Vivienne's whole persona is about her life at court.

I'd honestly have loved Vivienne for a romance, and would have preferred her personal quest involve her circle in Montsimard, but I genuinely don't believe her interest in Bastien was shoehorned into the game.
