I am starting to believe that she is not romanceable. Mainly because it is weird that all other romanceable character were announced when they were introduced and Vivienne was not. While I want to hold out hope I will take the Garrus approach at this time

Trying to soften the blow and take some joy that she will be my bestie and I will enjoy the shade that Vivienne and Dorian will throw at people with Varric making jokes....I'll do a cartwheels in my head if she can be my lady though

I always suspected she was Rivaini. 

 

But there were some who preferred her to just be Orlesian. There were differences of opinion on whether black people in Thedas should be Rivaini, or have ancestry from any nation in Thedas.

Cassandra wasn't confirmed as a romance option when she was announced way back when

Well, if we follow that Logic, we would only have five Romances maximum. But we have eight.

Exactly, and Sheryl C. said that there would be 8 romances within the companions and advisers. So at this point it would be shocking not to see Vivienne as a romance

Gaider on record that they prioritized fairness in gender and orientation, so I think she's in.

I can't see anyone else filling the position of 4th female LI right now. But it would mean that all 4 romances for straight men are human, which is a shame.

Seems like the inequality in romance options for a few (or maybe just one) specific race/gender/orientation that Gaider mentioned is probably because of the race gated characters. I think Viv is most likely a romance.

Sheryl Chee confirmed that this wasn't true. Apparently you can flirt with someone who isn't a companion or an adviser but all 8 romances are either companions or advisers. 

 

Seeing as Leliana isn't a romance that meand 3 more companions are Li's and Viv is the only female companion who isn't already a confirmed LI.

Vivienne is a prominent person in Orlais no? If there's one thing we know about Orlais elves aren't looked on very highly there and that should be especially true now that there is a bit of an elven rebellion going on. Qunari are generally feared throughout Thedas, Inquisitor or no that might not exactly be the best thing for her reputation. Dwarves are a little gray and could go either way. Anyways it basically comes down to her reputation which seems to be very important to her ad she doesn't strike me as the type of person who would give it up for "love"

I had a feeling the non-companion/advisor "romance" wouldn't be one of our eight.  Huzzah for Viv being likely again!  Fingers crossed for my qunari lady.

Here is what I'm thinking:

 

 

 

It's unlikely (not sure) that Blackwall will be a romance because he's fairly old and tainted. (once again not sure)

 

Iron Bull will probably be a romance.

 

Varric might be a LI as well.

 

So it's either Solas or Vivienne. They said they would pay attention to gender/ sexuality equality over races right? (Even though they may have meant that more toward player-race gating)

 

Solas is in his 40's (early-middle aged), and we already have an Elf romance, Sera.

 

Vivienne on the other hand is incredibly attractive, and young looking. We also need to balance out that there are more male romance options at this point, so Vivienne become the likely choice.

IMO I think she's just that way, maybe, to preserve her VERY important reputation, as some races are "lesser" to some Orlesians.

 

But unappealing? Mission = failed
