Most of the time I do not care that much but this time I am really curious to know, I even though about Natalie Dormer but nah. This waiting is killing me

I've racked my brain over every awesome show with an English accent who has that deep, breathy and resonant sound that Viv does. Maria Doyle Kennedy has a similar voice, but my tweet to the guys didn't get a response, so iunno.

I mean there are the three others I thought might fit the bill: Emilia Fox, Lenora Crichlow (biiiig stretch) and Angel Coulby. Emilia Fox is a busy lady, so I figured probably not. The other two I think I could see them pulling their voice to a deeper sound and putting on the posh accent.

That's about it.

Humm I doubt it is Emilia Fox but it would be cool too but now that I think about it, Angel Coulby is a good possibility too.

So it's not looking good for Viv as a romance. We know there will be 8 in total with two being race gated. We know the two straight and gay options. We know Josephine will be one of the bi romances so it fallows that the other will be a male. Then the two race gated will prob be Varric or Iron Bull or someone else. But I just can't think if a reason Viv would get race gated so she don't fit...

Still a possibility that she will be a LI, all them have reasons why they should or should not be imho.

 

Even though Varric and IB are gated and included as LIs, Vivienne still has a chance especially if we would like to assume that Bioware will be using the 4 / 4 ratio.

On the flip side I think her chances are slim (not 0 ) if Bioware go with a 5 / 3 ratio ...

Agreed, I think that's probably one of the greatest possibilities.

I think she will be a romance just to make things fair 5 to 3 just does not make since if they want to give players more romance options and making her bi would have a lot of people happy.

Speaking of race gating...I wonder if that would only be done with bisexual characters. I say that because straight and homosexual characters already have a filter (gender), while bisexual characters otherwise don't.

 

That being said at least one bisexual character (Josephine) is not race-gated.

I am sure Vivienne is a romance open to all genders don't know about races though. I also agree Varric is only into female dwarfs and Iron Bull is only available to qunari, humans and elves. I feel now that Solas, Cole and Blackwall are  not romaceable.

I personally have a feeling they are going the 5/3 route because... well, I don't really have a compelling argument. I would just love Viv as an LI, but really don't want to get my hopes up. Also, they've said before it's not really about being fair. Everyone will have options, but they don't have to be equal.

I also hope that she is a LI at least for the male inquisitor. So far she's the only romance option that I'm interested in...my Inquisitor Elf/ Quanari needs someone  (bioware please...please)

I really hope, they'll give each gender and sexual orientation the same amount of options. I understand that race gating doesn't allow equal choices, but at least gender gating shouldn't lead to less options for some groups.

I would love for Viv to be an option. Cass and Viv were my top picks from the start. Cass is out, so there is still a part of me that is hoping Viv will be an option. yes, I have no problems with race gating, as long as I can romance a character with at least two different races. but I'd have a problem if she was only into men and Varric only into women.

I think I heard otherwise for equal options for different orientations, but I suppose we'll have to see. But I do believe that Vivienne is necessary for greater personality diversity in the female LIs.

I think they said equal options for sexual orientations, but no equal options for each race-gender combination. But I'm not sure.

Yea, getting ones hope up is not probably the best ... I have tried, but it's exciting at the same time.

Well Vivienne being a romance would be cool but that would make all female companions LIs and that is kinda shitty in my opinion. By the numbers I would say the last two would be male since they have a high number of them this time around.

I think having all women as romance options is okay, because you can't romance all of them with any gender and sexual orientation. If you play as a male, Sera isn't an option, and if you play as female Cassandra won't be. So, there's at least one female your inquisitor can't romance in a playthrough.
