I was thinking Vivienne was an Knight Enchanter, but all we see her do is casting fire or ice magic. 

 

Coz they don't wanna show the spec abilities yet. I think we saw IB use a reaver ability but that is it.

I could see Blackwall as a Templar, but that's because I know nothing about him. Varric could be an "Artificer," because Bianca is a high tech crossbow and he doesn't strike me as either an assassin or tempest (whatever that is). But again, it's all speculation... whatever her spec is, I hope Vivienne ends up with something fun and useful. That's about it.

Perhaps she has an active ability that causes her spells to deal damage proportional to the difference between her armor value and the armor value of her target?

The less practical her outfit is for combat the more effective her spells are against the enemy.

I can't remember where and who I heard it from, but I recall hearing that companions have their own unique specs like in DA2.

Companions in DA2 had the same standard skills for their class and then a specialisation unique to each character, didn't they?  I imagine it will work the same in DAI.

I think it's clear what the intent was when Mark Darrah answered the question, but I know that if it's not clarified, people will continue to doubt that they get their own specializations.

In Game Of Thrones, her character has a Spanish accent I believe. Given that she doesn't sound like Vivienne much at all, I think she's far more likely to be Josie.

So? She could be using her natural voice, which I think sounds like Viv.
