I.I.I.

that was awesome. Vivi is going to be awesome.
Hahaha ! That was an awesome video.
Vivienne might turn out to be a political mage courtier who might stab us in the back but her way with words...That is quite brilliant...
If you race-gate her romance or not make her available for romance Bioware..... ![]()
By the way, is it just me or does Indira look like a female version of Benedict Cumberbatch with big hair ?

I do hope she is a romance option. Maybe we can get some confirmation soon or at least a hint.
Welp, Vivienne's going to be in my main part, just so I can hear her talk.
That Indira Varma video is everything I ever wanted in Vivienne!
Though, I still don't see Vivienne as the type to be cruel to servants. I would rather see her use her powers of wit to take down other nobles.
Yep. That was what the video conveyed to me. Vivienne might be a courtier but she is a mage. In Thedas, if you are a mage you are either feared or hated.
So I don't see her taking down servants. She is the kind of person who would take down people she considers to be at her level or above hers.
This is the most active I've seen this thread in awhile.
Well to be fair this is the first piece of info in months, just wait until we get a LI conformation then things will really get going.
I thought I might drop this here:
So just before we get all giggity with The Madame we walk in on her making a servant/diplomat/insert character here cry?
That’s one way to set the mood.
Hearing Ms. Varma in action as Vivienne, you just know that she's going to be a LI... ![]()
Smooth, silky seductiveness one moment...sudden sharpness the next...oh, you just know it! ![]()

Here's a question. Since the devs say relationships will flow more naturally with certain events like slaying a dragon leading to dialogue, how do you think romance dialogue with Viv would start out?

Ganging up on someone less fortunate with you both to make yourselves feel superior.

It will most likely start out in one of two ways.
1) Result of an escalating verbal argument / banter between Vivienne and Inquisitor and neither one is gaining the upper hand or winning or backing down. The resulting friction or drama can be the prelude to a romance. Ever see people who just fight and argue all the time and then later they are the best of lovers ? Yeah, that is the sort of thing that might happen here.
2) When Vivienne's sharp words fail to have an affect on the Inquisitor. Women like Vivienne who are sassy are usually stumped when they come up against an indifferent introvert person, like Solas of perhaps our Inquisitor if we choose to play them as such. Then it would be a " unstoppable force meets an immovable object" romance. A complementary romance where Vivienne and her sassy-ness complements the Inquisitor's calmness, indifference and introversion.
As for the Inquisitor swooning over Vivienne's sassy-ness or falling head over heels for her verbal attacks and putdowns...I don't see a romance of this sort coming from someone like Vivienne...She seems to be person who respects and admires as opposed to tolerate and accept...She doesn't seem to be the type who is swayed or attracted by "Aww..." / puppy-dog type behavior. She is a mage courtier after all, she must get these flirtations, doe eyes and d'aww thing quite frequently....
By the way, not to kill the hype....But Vivienne is written by Mark Kirby...
Kirby is not known for writing romances is she ? Just trying to be realistic here....
Feel free to correct me if I am wrong...

Who is this Mark Kirby character?! ![]()

Well i can definitely see Viv taking a more shall we say "active" role when it came to courtship but on the sly, the inquisitor would start courting her thinking it was his/her idea, all the while Viv would be going:

Less anthropomorphic though. ![]()
Merrill.
Oh...that is lovely...Seeing as plenty of my Hawkes romanced Merrill and liked it...especially rivalry romance of Merrill..
So there is hope...
Gah! I really want her to be an LI. But if she is, I'm not sure I'll be able to pick between her and #ridethebull ![]()
I heard somewhere they wouldn't be doing rivalmances this time around which is a shame because those were the best ones in DA2
