Oh...that is lovely...Seeing as plenty of my Hawkes romanced Merrill and liked it...especially rivalry romance of Merrill..
So there is hope...
It was a surprise for me too. The person who wrote my favorite DA2 character also wrote my least favorite DAI character.

I don't post on here much but I lurked on here a lot... So I'm jumping in!I heard somewhere they wouldn't be doing rivalmances this time around which is a shame because those were the best ones in DA2
I liked the Rivalmances a lot too and while I'm a bit bummed about it not taking place I'm still hoping for different types of romances with each character.
Not in the "Dorian's romance and Iron Bull's romance are different" way either.
I'm hoping that we don't have to say the "right" thing to be with them. Ex) Hawke broke immersion for me if I was playing a diplomatic or aggressive character because a lot of the flirts (not all of them) were more sarcastic/charming Hawke.
It made things a little awkward.
I'm hoping you can get the option to be sweet or chivalrous or charming or seductive instead of a forced one liner. >.>

Well I just saw the video, now I'm really looking forward to have her in my party. Her banters with the other characters are going to be epic.
And if she meets Morrigan, that's going to be ... interesting to say the least.
And Indira Varma voice fits her but I don't know much about the actress (I'm fairly ignorant about GoT, only watched the first three episodes, never saw the appeal).

Here's a question. Since the devs say relationships will flow more naturally with certain events like slaying a dragon leading to dialogue, how do you think romance dialogue with Viv would start out?
It can go so many ways. Simply admiring her fashion choice might be it, but Viv's so fabulous that she might be used to such compliments and value something a little more substantial than that. Like appreciation for her biting wit.

While they aren't doing rivalmances I don't think they will be like in Origins where it's all based on approval.

Just because I dislike a character personally doesn't mean I don't find them interesting.
You haven't even met Vivienne yet. How can she say she is your least favorite?
We've gotten their character blurbs and writer interviews, as well as a few other things, so there is quite enough evidence for me to determine she will be the least liked among the 12.

Still seems a bit too soon to judge.
I would never have expected Aveline to turn out to be my favorite companion in DA2, she was the one that I found least interesting to start with but I ended up loving her.
I may end up not liking Vivienne that much for all I know, I doubt it because I usually like all the characters and Vivienne seems hilarious but you can never be sure untill you have played the game and gotten to know the character.

She's not a diplomat though. That's Josephine. Vivienne plays the Game in which diplomacy is really just one tiny aspect of if you're playing to win.

Josephine is supposed to be diplomatic, Vivienne is just supposed to be ambitious and clever.
She's not the make a compromise sort, she is more about crushing her enemies.
