That was the moment I realised that Vivienne is the most likely the LI she writes

I'm not saying this is 100% confirmation. But let's be honest - it's almost impossible the last two LIs will be only guys and MK didn't write a LI

I keep looking at Vivienne and all I can think of is Iman and Grace Jones fusing into one super fabulous person. As iconic as one of Grace Jones former looks, I really do hope she isn't bald under that headdress, I know it sounds superficial but it's just a thing with me. Someone pointed out that according to concept art, she is likely bald, but ... no I don't want to say it. Extremely short curly, or short short straight hair would be acceptable to me but bald would knock me off my feet. 

 

Has anyone done image comparisons of Iman and Vivienne, I'd be surprised if they said Iman or Grace Jones wasn't partially on the artist mind when they created Vivienne.

Also, where's proof that Varric is a confirmed no? Thus far they've only dodged questions we sent them during actual Q&As (e.g Raptr had tonnes of Varric as an LI questions)

I used to be very critical of Vivienne from the information we got...I still am wary of her, just not as critical as before...

 

But as Kent Nelson told Wally West "Find your own little spitfire, one that will let you get away with nothing"....Vivienne seems like that...She would make a very good spitfire for my mage Lavellan.

Well since Varric isn't a LI, that ups Vivi chances of being one. Crossing my fingers that she would accept dwarves. But, now that the background is out, and the dwarf pc comes from a criminal family, Vivi might be a little worried.

If it isn't Varric, my guess is Vivienne. It might make sense for the character to be race-gated considering her backstory. 

 

I can't see either Solas or Blackwall being race gated, if either one is an LI.

Unfortunately, I'd have to agree with you. Although I don't like it, Viv does seem likely to be race-gated.

 

On the bright side, if she is race-gated, then that means she probably won't be restricted to a particular gender as far as romance goes. I really doubt they would make her straight/lesbian AND race-gated at the same time.
