Yes there are games that sold better on PC. Diablo 3, Portal 2, Battlefield 3 (or was it bad company 2, don't remember), DA:O, Xcom:EU.
Not to disbelieve you, but where did you get the sales figures for BF3, DA:O and X-COM?
I do not doubt Diablo and Portal (since those only came to consoles later - and D3 hasn't even launched on the current-gen, yet) but if those are your best examples, I think the case for consoles is still open.
Of course other games like Minecraft, Skyrim, Left 4 dead, CS Go, Battlefield 4, and many, many others have sold JUST AS WELL as any single console, or better than any single console in some cases...
I'm going to guess that you're just lumping together, what? 4 different platforms and stacking them all against the PC, right? Rather lopsided assessment, no? Does the PC have to single handedly beat 4 platforms in order for it to count?
Yes, obviously. You're comparing platforms, no? Or single systems, now? Are you going to separate Nvidia and AMD PCs, too? The "console" environment obviously imply all of them - as the costs of porting are more integrated, even moreso in the current-gen. I believe most companies that release their games across the board feel the same.
But, hey, why can't people just let other people game however the heck they want? Why MUST one thing be better than the other?
